We really loved the added bonus of the little boat and trolling motor. We were able to get around the entire lake on a single battery charge. We made sure to bring a paddle just in case. “My wife and sons and I stayed here and used it as a base of operations for day trips (Mackinac Island, St. Ignace, Cheboygan). It was great! Homey and comfortable. The fire pit was great, the host provided firewood (plus there’s tons to be gathered in the nearby woods). Kitchen was very nicely equipped for a northern Michigan cabin, we cooked breakfast and dinner every day. Lastly, it was nice watching the deer eat from the fruit trees on the other side of the road. Would recommend!”

“This was a perfect location for a golf trip to the Gaylord area. Right between Treetops and Garland and several other courses. The host was very good at responding to our questions, and the cabin was just right for us (two golfing guys) to be comfortable. Paul's Pub - about 1.5 miles down the road - was wonderful as well. ”

“We booked Gooseberry Lodge last minute for our family of 5. The cabin was perfectly sized for two adults and three children. We spent most of our time on the expansive dock and enjoyed dinner sunsets from the back deck. The mooring buoy made it easy to stop back at the house for lunch while out tubing on the lake.
