Our stay at this condo was honestly one of the worst rental experiences we’ve ever had.From the moment we arrived, it was clear the property was not properly maintained or cleaned. There was visible black mold on the walls and even inside the HVAC/AC unit, which shockingly had no air filter installed at all. The vents were rusty and corroded, and there was standing water near electrical components, which felt extremely unsafe.The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The shower drain was completely clogged with a massive amount of hair, to the point where we actually had to call a plumber to remove it. It was obvious it hadn’t been cleaned properly in a very long time.The so-called “remodel” looks like it was done as cheaply as possible. Everything from the finishes to the fixtures looked rushed and low quality. The furniture felt like the cheapest possible pieces someone could buy, uncomfortable and worn.Most concerning of all, the conditions actually made us feel sick. Between the mold and the poor air quality from the filthy HVAC system, we didn’t feel safe staying there. We ended up paying 700 to change our flights just to leave early.To make matters worse, the owner was extremely rude and dismissive when we raised these issues instead of showing any concern.We rent vacation properties regularly and have never had an experience like this. I would strongly advise future renters to look elsewhere.
