Worst experience with VRBO & this home owner
Do Not stay here! Truly the worst experience we've ever had renting a home. We couldn't get in when we arrived because they had left the dead bolt on. Difficult to reach the home owner unless via text. Once we were able to get in, the home smelled, had food everywhere - in the refrigerator, pantry, counter tops - moldy food that was going bad. Dishes in the sink and diswasher that he expected us to clean and throw the food away. Sinks, towels and sheets were all dirty with trash in the trash cans that he wanted us to take out. Clothes in the washing machine, so we couldn't use it, nor the garage or the pool which had a sign on the door that we couldn't open the door to the pool or an alarm would sound. The home owner told us there was no sign when confronted about this. We couldn't stay there, had to find another place to stay after driving for 2 days to arrive. We contacted the host immediately and VRBO and no one has done anything despite 3 attempts to get a refund for a property that was not as shown on the website - it wasn't even livable it was so disgusting. And since VRBO refuses to remove this property from it's sight, we had to leave a review to warn you against staying here. It's not worth the frustration.
