Windsowr HIll holiday 2024

We had a wonderful two weeks at this location. Everything was good including the weather. No hot tub but with a heated pool we were fine. House could use some updates but was clean and had all we needed for a successful holiday. Location in the park is good.

Spring Break Retreat

This property is a nice retreat. It is 4 bedroom, 4 bath, garage with pool table, washer & dryer, and kitchen with all the essentials. The house is a nice place to relax and enjoy a time away from the local theme parks. The pool was nice, however, we were not aware we had the option to heat the pool until after getting the paperwork to check in. We did choose to have the pool heated but that was an extra fee and took a few days. The house could use a little maintenance on a few cabinets, and possibly a little updating, but for the price, it was a nice stay. There is enough space to bring a big family and not be fighting over a bathroom. I would definitely stay here again!

Convenient location to Disney Parks

Overall house location and roominess were very good. Had some plumbing issues with one toilet in the twin bed room. Property Management did send someone to fix it but still did not work well. Pool table was a big plus but only one pool cue had the proper tip on it and one pool cue was broken in half with a pointed end! "Game" room only included the pool table and nothing else.

Terrible villa

We arrived at villa with no bedsheet changed no essential supplies no cleaned rooms! We had to run out to buy! Poorly equipped kitchen and bed sheets. Overall, terrible stay!

Management company needs to take better care of the property

Garbage from previous tenant was not picked up before we arrived at 4:pmBroken toilet seat in garage. Broken child’s walker left in the garage Two of the chairs to the set on the pool patio are broken and thrown in the garage. Numerous broken/missing slats from the vertical blinds Locked safe - called mgmt company at 4:45 pm on 3/4 - they were going to have to call the owners(?!?!}. As of 7:00 p.m., have had no further contact. There is mold in all the bathrooms The shower heads in all bathrooms need to be replaced. There are no bathroom mats in the showers/bathtubs. The floor coverings in the bedrooms are dated and stained/soiled. There appears to be alarm hardware on the sliding doors but they aren’t hooked up. Considering we have a 6 yr old and a 4 yr old, we were hoping they would be working alarms. The locking gates to the pool are almost impossible open. In the kitchen, most of the pots with handles were so loose that we had to reattach them before using theme. The kitchen set up doesn’t flow properly - it is a mishmash of items in various locations that should have been together in one place. Constantly had to go fro one end to the other. The sliding shelf in the dishwasher is missing a roller. There are few coasters for drink glasses or place mats to protect the furniture in the kitchen and living room. We had an extended family of 8 people. There was no place for all of us to eat meals together. All the bed pillows/mattresses in the house need to be replaced. No way to clean the pool if there is a bad rainstorm which there was. There are several lights in the kitchen don’t work There are no safety bars in the showers/bathtubs which are very important as many renters are older adults. While we’re out of the house on Sunday, 3/6/22, someone opened the screened door to the pool area, put the water hose into the pool and turned the water on in the pool. The screened door was open and the water was overflowing the pool. Very disconcerting that someone was in the pool area and left without shutting the screen door and turning off the water hose. Owners should be concerned since the door was open directly into the pool area - any child could have easily accesses the pool. Suggestions Ceiling Fans need to be put in each bedroom. This is FL and since the AC cannot be lowered less than 73 degrees, air needs to be circulated… coolest area in the house is the garage…not a good place for sleeping. We had to go and buy fans.

Great Vacation Getaway!

Great place to stay. Location is convenient to stores, restaurants and major theme parks. The house has its own pool which is nice coming back to after a long day at the parks. Communication was great between owners and the property manager. We had issues with the Wi-Fi and cable our first day there. I let the property manager know what was going on and she was awesome and had it fixed by the next morning. Highly remcommend this property for families looking to get away on vacation but not wanting to stay at theme parks or a busy resort. House has everything you need to make your stay comfortable.

Perfect for Disney

This was our Spring break for the kids and we decided to take them to Disney. Wife and I, 18, 17, and 6 year old. The house was more perfect than we expected. It was clean with great furnishings and supplied well with everything we needed. We found no signs of any pests or rodents. The house was spacious which my wife and I were happy with due to the kids. The pool was great. The kids would swim in the morning and nights before and after parks. Quiet neighborhood in GREAT location. The Disney parks are literally a 10-20 minute drive depending on traffic. Also, the clubhouse/pool and park with playground are straight down the street a short walk. We’d highly recommend this one and plan to go back. Owners and property manager are responsive and quickly handled the one or two small items we had on the first day. Loved it!

Family Holiday

We usually stay in the Windsor Hills area when we vacation with our family because we love the resort and the area, when we booked this home we thought we were booking a "Luxury" home as advertised. The home was clean, however the pictures they show online of the home are not recent, the furniture, bedding, paint, and flooring of the home is very worn. The biggest disappointment we had with the home was the outside pool deck and furniture it was in desperate need of deep clean, the furniture was dirty and broken, we contacted the owner and sent them pictures and they sent new furniture on the last day of our holiday, which was of no benefit to our stay. When we vacation, we spend all of our time outside enjoying the warm weather so that was a major disappointment for us. We also had a couple of maintenance issues that were being addressed when we were there a/c issue, tile flooring broken, and raccoon in the roof. Overall, for the first time since we have been renting homes in the Windsor Hills area we spend too much time having to deal with issues with this home then we should have.

Clean and spacious

We liked that each bedroom has its on bathroom. Also liked the high ceilings in great room and kitchen. Decor is dated and furniture is too large, but it’s a good price for a spacious, clean place to stay. The workers at Guard gate were also very nice.

Nice big house in an excellent location

We spent 14 days here, visiting various amusement parks and well known attractions in and around Orlando. All the big parks are less than 30 minutes away. The community pool is big and very kid friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.

Nice Home and really a 5 star with just two little fixes

This home was nice and it was clean but had a few small issues. One of the issues were a natural issue that involved dryer not heating. The next day a repairman was sent out. The second of three things also was not a real big thing. All the homes I've rented before have some kind of instruction booklets in home. Listing thing like what to do with full bags of trash, what to do about linen when checking out and so forth. Once again not a big issue but brought up to maybe help in future. The last issue which kind of was the only reason I didn't give this review a perfect 5. In the photos of this house it shows an air hockey table. While looking for which house to rent I wanted either an air hockey or ping pong table. I was a little disappointed it didn't have the air hockey. I want to be clear I was overall very happy with this home. I would want to rent from this home again in the future. I just would like to suggest to not include photo or discription of air hockey table on property ID. I want to thank the owners for this rental. I am sorry your home really should be rated a 5 if it's someone who doesn't care about the air hockey. It's in a great location, clean, there is a little store on property, game room at club house, and a movie screen as well.

Stayed at house in 2014 and 2017, things have changed since then

First of all, the house itself is located in a great neighborhood and with great proximity to the parks which was the primary focus of our trip. The beds were clean and comfortable and that is always much appreciated. The downside was that several things were not working when we arrived - which was a letdown. The A/C was not working (and it was fairly warm the week we stayed). This problem was taken care of on our second day and we didn't have the problem again. The hot tub was not working during our stay - the management attempted to have this problem resolved but to no avail. My husband got it going somewhat by Googling the hot tub make and model, but this was a disappointment nonetheless as we really like a hot tub in the evening after a day at the park on our feet. Third, there is no air hockey table as shown in the pictures. Fourth, it would have been really nice to have a welcome binder with "how to's" regarding the house. We had trouble with the door lock and wifi as well - those were handled very quickly by management but really we don't want to be calling management so frequently during the stay. A manual would have helped us know when to call and maybe answered the question of "how is this supposed to work?", when does trash get taken out? Etc. So, the house has potential but it would maybe help if someone were to inspect the property prior to guest check in just to head off the troubles we encountered. Thanks for everything, all in all still a great week in Orlando, and we will miss it now that we are back in the frozen north. :)
