After we made the reservation (and paid in full) we were informed by a message that the elevator was not working. Seems like this is something we should have been aware of ahead of time or perhaps we could have been given a discount at check in. When we arrived we were given a room on the 3rd floor, after carrying our luggage up 3 floors we entered the hallway to hear two (if not three) very loud barking dogs in the room directly next to ours. Clearly they had been left alone in the room. I went back to the lobby and was told by the agent they had been trying to reach the guests "all day". after hemming and hawing about were they could move us we were finally offered an upgrade to a king room on the 4th floor! Up again and then back down 4 flights of stairs to get takeout from the dining room. No menus in the room for the restaurant, it would have been a lot easier to order from the room than to sit in the lobby for 20 minutes waiting to pick up our order. The room was very nice, the view was fantastic. But the elevator was a definite disappointment and not handled well. There initial solution was a full refund (at 6:30 at night) and to find another hotel.
