Just what we needed
We were looking for a location for a long weekend getaway with our kids and grandkids to celebrate a family birthday. The size and layout of this property was the ideal accommodations for our needs. I would agree with other reviews that there are some maintenance items and a few hazards with the deck and railings that need addressing by the owners, but it was below zero temperatures and/or snowing for much of our stay, so we mainly were inside. The kitchen was well stocked with tableware, cookware, appliances and gadgets - more than I had anticipated, so we enjoyed cooking together during our time here. Beds/mattresses were a bit soft for my and my husband’s liking, but the sheets were high thread count and nice! View of the lake is spectacular and visible from several of the bedrooms, which also have deck/balconies (which didn’t use due to weather). Overall, this was a pleasant trip and great location for our gathering.

Stay was excellent and lake views were outstanding, especially at sundown. It would have been helpful if the property description indicated that the 5th bedroom is actually a sleeping loft, and you have to go down a flight of stairs to access the 5th bathroom.

Nice place from a distance
Stayed with my wife and friends on the weekend we got married. Pros: The house had plenty of room and is in a great location. No lake access, but very nice views. There was plenty of silverware, cups, plates etc, and coffee makers. Nice hot tub. Cons: One of the people in my party is a house inspector, and he said this place has been used and abused. The house had lots of spiderwebs in the bunk room. The railing on the back deck is loose and dangerous. All of the TVs are old and not worth watching. The house looks great at a distance, but up close there are lots of imperfections and isn't nearly as nice as the pictures on VRBO show. I wouldn't return as I did not find the house worth the price per night.

Girls Annual Weekend
The location was perfect! The view from the deck was amazing! The house itself I'm sure was a rock star back in the day! I loved the big spacious rooms along with all of the windows viewing the lake. The kitchen was equipped with lots of everything. The house was in need of a deep cleaning and some real maintenance work. The sliding class doors had standing water in the railing along with black mold. There were windows that were lined with what appeared to be packing tap. The hard wood floors were great but all of the bedrooms were carpet that had to be the original carpet from when it was built. The bunk room smelled like dogs and kids and the upstairs master room smelled like smoke. The hot tub and fire pit area was full of weeds so we didn't use it. We had to take apart the girl to clean and put it back together to use. The handle is broke so be careful with that. I don't normally complain but there was so much that was hard to overlook with the money we paid. All in all we had a great time but would have had a better time if we would have gotten what we paid for.

We made it work
We were misdirected about the shuttle service to and from the Margaritaville resort and Marina, but we were able to drive our own vehicles to and from to compensate. Our property owner was responsive and updated the changed swimming pool codes when we discovered the error. The house would benefit from a deep cleaning. Under beds, furniture, and throw rugs were dusty. Lightfixtures, inside cabinets, and closets were grimy. Surfaces and service ware were clean. We used our own disinfectant and air fresheners to improve our comfort level and meet our personal cleanliness standards. Linens were insuffient for our 12 adult guests, but the owner had additional linens sent over.

Birthday celebrations!
We came to celebrate both of our kids’ 21st and 25th birthdays with friends and family. It was perfect location, wonderful view, and accommodating to all of us! Had pretty much everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinners. The young adults enjoyed the hot tub and the closeness of Landshark Pool/Bar. Only real issue was ice maker didn’t work and we only had 4 ice cube trays so we had to but a bag of ice. Also ANTS!! We had to make sure everything was off the counter, food wise, other wise they would have been in everything. We found some spray but that didn’t keep them coming. We grilled out one night and have to say that the grill has been used well. Broken handle and lots of caked on stuff. Over all it was a good weekend. Definitely needs a deep cleaning and not just a surface clean after each use.

2023 Family Vacation
Beautiful home! Juleen always replied to questions we had. However the rental wasnt quite as described. We planned family dinners around meals to prepare on the grill. The grill wasn't in the best condition. The handle was broken and the grill only worked on low or high. We also ran out of paper towels, toilet paper and garbage bags. We had 13 people staying for 5 days. Also we were told we would have all of the amenities of Margarativille. When inquiring about a boat slip at Margarativille they told us that was only available for renters at Margarativille. Same with the shuttle service for the pools. We never did see a shuttle at all but again that was for renters at Margarativille. Some of the patio furniture was broken, a patio table was very wobbly and there was a broken window in the living room. There were loose boards around the hot tub and posts on the railings that fell off. Overall we really enjoyed our stay but for the price, the house could use a little love.

50th High School Girls Trip Reunion
This house was perfect in so many ways. The size of the house and the view were extraordinary. That made up for little maintenance problems along the way. The coffee maker did not work and that was a priority for our group. At least the owner tried to solve the problem immediately. Some hair dryers didn’t work but we managed since some people had brought their own. There were some ants but we just kept our food contained. There were so broken things like a cabinet door and a few other things but like I said, the size of the house and the view were so great that we could overlook the maintenance problems.

Great lake house
We had four families with a total of eight kids ages 2 to 16 that comfortably stayed in this home. The location is close to the state parks and has easy access to a community pool. We had a wonderful time and the view of the lake was breathtaking.

The property is amazing with plentiful parking and lodging. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very open. There was not much we needed from the owner but when we did need something, the owner was quick to respond and very helpful!

Plenty of room! Great view off the deck! Mirrored fridge was a big hit :) Coffee pots don’t work and the hot tub needed cleaning otherwise everything was perfect! Thanks so much for a great family weekend!

Everything was great!
Would definitely rent again if we ever needed a large space for everyone on the lake. Loved watching all of the boats from the deck! Everyone loved their rooms and having bathrooms attached was super nice!

Awesome time on the lake!
We had a great family vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks! This house slept our big group of 12 wonderfully. With three King bedrooms, all the adults were very comfortable. The bunk room was perfect for the younger kids and the loft worked out fantastic for our older kid. The amenities (wifi, TVs, streaming services, gas grill, hot tub, access to the Margaritaville pools, jet skis, and boat rental) were also great. The view is awesome! Our host, Julene, was very helpful and responsive as well. My only critiques are that the cleaning crew could spend just a little more time between guests, and the closest pool isn't "steps away" from the house as the add says (it's a pretty good hike). We ended up loading everybody up and driving to the pool. It was way too far for the kids. Overall, the house worked out extremely well for us, especially for the price! Thanks Julene!

Great space for large group
The house comfortably fit 18 of us (ages 6-40+). Beds were comfortable and house stayed nice and cool. Check in was difficult for part of our party as the Owner never gave us the gate code for the GATED COMMUNITY (gates are locked between sunset & sunrise). Luckily, hubby stayed in the same gated community the weekend prior and knew both the codes for the gate and the community pool from his stay (different house). I have no idea what we would have done if he did not have that info. Be sure to specifically request these codes prior to your visit. The community pool was a nice, albeit chilly, surprise! Good location.

Girls Weekend Away
Great accommodations for our group of long time friends. Plenty of parking, beds and cutlery as wall as a very pretty view of the lake. Things to consider: there were ants in the kitchen and next time I will make sure to check lake scheduled events. We suffered through a few hours overlooking boat races with helicopters recording each run :( Others may like that kind of thing but it was very LOUD. Other than those few hours, it was a very relaxing get away.

Poorly maintained rental
A previous review from July for this property indicated some kitchen cabinet doors were missing. But we thought that by December these would be fixed. They were not. Here were all the maintenance issues -- 1. 2 kitchen cabinet doors were missing. 2. ! kitchen cabinet drawer was broken and inoperable. 3. The inside glass of the stove door was broken with a piece missing (major hazard). 4. The door of the dryer was broken and hanging askew although still operable. 5. One towel rack in the downstairs bath with the jacuzzi tub was pulled out of the wall. 6. A towel rack in the other downstairs bathroom came off, but I was able to re-install. 7. The carpet at the last step of the stairs to the loft was badly frayed and in need of repair to prevent tripping. 8. 2 outside chairs near the hot tub were broken. 9. The round patio table on the deck had all screws loose so the table was "very wobbly". I tightened all the screws to fix it. 10. We also had major infestation with ants in the kitchen that we battled for 4 days before under control. There was no contact from the owner anytime during our check-in or stay. We have rented through vrbo several times before with very acceptable results. But this was very poor, and I trust that vrbo has better "quality control" of its tenants than this. The unit itself was of very nice design and location. Otherwise comfortable and spacious. It was just a maintenance mess. I would NOT recommend this rental to anyone!

This property looked just like the pictures! As previous reviews mentioned, there's a few cabinets in the kitchen missing doors or a drawer that won't open, but that had no impact on our enjoyment whatsoever. All in all, this was perfect for our group for a chill weekend. Couple things that didn't meet expectations or can be improved upon, but are definitely not deal breakers: Some gps routes took our other guests through a second entrance that required a passcode, which was not provided from the owner. If you go through the first Margaritaville entrance, there's no gate, but only 1 of 4 gps used that route so I think it would have been beneficial for the property owner to make that known, either the code or to expressly state that we should take one entrance over the other. We were under the assumption that paper products would be available, but we ran through the one and only paper towel roll pretty quickly and didn't notice very much extra TP either. Not a huge deal, there's a gas station right outside the resort, but it would be nice if the house was stocked with extra. It would also be great if the property offered recycling. The jetted tub is in the bathroom down the stairs for the loft, not an actual en-suite. Even on NYE, we could not see the fireworks. I would have liked the owner checking in or some kind of welcome, as we did not hear anything from them. But I realize that's not for everyone. We had so much fun and look forward to staying again in warmer weather!

The house is a great size for what we needed. It’s a nice house. Pretty view. Hot tub great. Appears nice and clean until you really look. Cobwebs and dust here and there. Unfortunately there is an ant problem so we stored a lot of stuff in the refrigerator. Overall it was lovely.

We were not disappointed
Overall the property was ideal for us and our friends. Three couples all retired. Three of the bedrooms offered a lot of privacy and all had attached baths. Had we gone to four or more couples we could have used the bunk room, which would fit kids very well, or a loft bedroom that would have lacked a little privacy. A nice large bubble tub bathroom had access from the living room which I thought was rather strange. The view of the lake is from high on a cliff, so don't expect walk out access to the water. We used the outside hot tub which was nice and in working order, the fire pit area left a little to be desired but we had little interest in it. I would not call this a 5 star property, several thing could use attention, but I did not go expecting 5 star. It was exactly as I expected. I was not disappointed. All 6 of us had a great time.

Beautiful view from every room of the home. Location was great!! Parking was great!! The description of the rooms are dead on!! Needs some repairs done like missing cabinets in kitchen and some drawers didn’t open. The deck carpeting is ragged and coming up. The overall stay was wonderful!!

Great stay
The house was beautiful and laid out perfect for a large group. Lots of space with a bath in every bedroom. The view is great. There was a fireworks show at a nearby resort that we were able to watch. Wouldn't have seen it from most of the places close by but this house was up high and it on a point. As I read in a few other reviews the cleaning was not the greatest. I was the last to show up but was told that there was a spill in the fridge and some clothes/ trash found in some rooms. But overall was very enjoyable and a great place for a reasonable price.

The house was a great location and perfect for our whole family. It was clean, just needs some work done to improve the home. Sliding doors were hard to open, coffee pot was broke. But, we still wouldn't hesitate to rent again.

The house had a great view of lake and in a great neighborhood. It was equipped with everything we needed for our large group & met our needs. However...IMO...House could definitely use a DEEP cleaning and some TLC and updates. Main level toilet wouldn't not flush w/o pulling stopper in tank. The coffee pot takes FOREVER to brew. :/ Deck and outer area could use some sprucing up as well lots of broken chairs just piled up and deck carpet in need of replacement. Overall...we had a great family vacay!

The house is beautiful overall with an incredible view of the lake. With a little TLC, this property would be phenomenal. No major complaints, though -- huge bedrooms, plenty of space, well-stocked kitchen, and all the amenities of home. Communication with owner was also excellent. Thank you!

As expected
Our family enjoyed our time here. As other reviews had stated, the house is a little rough around the edges. There were a few things that could be fixed/tidied up in the kitchen and bathroom and the outdoor space could use some landscaping, but overall it worked great for our 4 families. We loved how each bedroom had its own bathroom and heating/cooling system. Also super convenient location and owners dock was just around the corner for boat rental days/personnel changes. House was as expected and we had a great time. Thanks!

We had a great time. The house is great and the lake view is beautiful. There were a couple things that need repair, such as a broken cabinet door in the kitchen and towel bar in a bathroom. The only negative is that there is no dock for a boat.

Ozarks filthy stay
We rented because of the number of bedrooms. The property is dated and I can live with that but when we arrived the place was dirty and in disrepair, we spent the first 3 hours cleaning. Cabinet doors are missing and hinges are broken, towel bars are falling off the wall. The deck has a great view but needs work, also the kitchen needs to be better stocked and the oven is filthy and glass is broken in the door. There was an ant problem also. I guarantee you the house is cleaner now after we stayed then it was when we arrived. The pictures of this property do not tell the story of the condition. Also the description says bedrooms are “newly remodeled” with “no expenses spared.” I’m not sure what was remodeled as the carpet was disgusting and lifting at the seams. In the master bath, water was leaking out onto the floor from the glass shower door. The hardwood floors in the dining room were so filthy your feet would turn black after just a few minutes of walking on them. There are multiple other issues that I could list but don’t feel like typing everything as it would take too much time. We had a few issues with doors and the owner was very responsive when we messaged her but it is my opinion that she does not live in the area and her “cleaning” lady if you want to call her that & the handy man are not performing their duties. I would not rent this location again.

We haven’t been together due to Covid! Needed time with family and this provided us time together!
There was lots of privacy for all. The cleaning wasn’t very good! Had to wash all dishes and pans. House needs lots of maintenance. Birds are nesting in walls and the outside walls are mushy and paint peeling. Lots of weeds! Towel hold pulling off the walls. Needs some TLC. But we did enjoy ourselves!

Great Getaway! Perfect Weekend
We spent NYE 2020/2021 at this property and had a marvelous time. The owner was available at a moments notice if there were ever any questions. We had concerns about the water heater and the owner was quick to call for service. Overall we would stay here again and again. The rooms are spacey, kitchen well equipped, the hot tub was a dream and the view SPECTACULAR!

Comfort, location and amazing views!
This property was a perfect getaway. It was spacious and exactly as advertised - nothing was misleading about the property in any way. We were only two adults staying in this huge house, but we have no regrets - we had plenty of room and a lake view from everyone in the house. Seriously, you can see the lake from every bedroom in the house! We enjoyed starting every day with the calm and quiet lake and breakfast from the kitchen/dining/deck area, walks around the beautiful and safe Tan-Tar-A Estates, easy access to anything in Osage Beach or local State Parks and every evening watching the beautiful sunset views from the house's wrap-around deck. Check-in was easy and the property owner was responsive to any questions we had. We really had a great time on this vacation and would absolutely recommend staying at this lovely home (it would be amazing for multiple families and kids too!).
