“AC/Heat very inconsistent, either too hot of cold yet remote was left in a visual spot for the unit. Check in was frustrating as code was not given even tho we received a ambiguous email asking for a reply if we were going to be late yet it was required regardless to get the entry code. “Very clean room and bathroom and spacious. Mattresses did not provide much cushion but no big deal. Great location very close to kawaguchiko station and a 15 minute walk from the lake. Would definitely stay here again. ”

“Bathrooms and shower were good and clean. The hostel is located in a central area within the town with a store right across the street. My big problem with this place is there is no heat. I visited in late March and although many extra blankets are provided, it was insanely cold at night. This really took away from my experience. If you stay here at a warmer time of year, I think it would be good.”

“Great stay for a family of four with kids 4 & 6. A calm, relaxing property with friendly staff and tasty Japanese food options we all enjoyed. Kids loved the Onsen bath in the room & wearing katana to dinner. Shuttle bus service was brilliant. I’d recommend taking some small activities to dinner for the kids as it can be a 2hr sitting. ”

“The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful. Our private onsen was something out of a movie. And it’s a superb place for kids — many fun little treats everywhere. Very much recommend. However, if your kid is an adventurous eater, make sure they do not serve them the kids meal Kaiseki. It is definitely subpar fast food level. Pre-order the adult version because you can’t change on the spot.”
