  • Our Varus vacation rental is located in the heart of the Kalkriese recreation area, across from the Battle of Varus Museum, and can accommodate up to 7 guests. It is surrounded by meadows and forests. Many hiking and biking trails run through the immediate vicinity, inviting you to enjoy nature-filled experiences, such as biking along the Mittelland Canal, hiking, and horseback riding in the Evinghausender Mountains. The apartment is bright and wonderfully spacious. Depending on the number of guests, the apartment can be configured to accommodate a smaller group.

    Great places to visit are located nearby:
    • The Battle of Varus Museum across the street (with daily guided tours, a playground, low and high ropes courses, and an adjacent restaurant)
    • The Venne water treading area and observation tower, as well as the sundial, are within walking distance through the forest
    • Marked hiking trails start at the end of the property
    • The Mittelland Canal (approx. 1 km) with many marked bike routes
    • Alt and Neu-Barenaue Castles (approx. 2–3 km)

Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Wer in schöner Natur radeln oder wandern will, ist hier bestens aufgehoben.

Der Empfang war sehr angenehm, die gesamte gastgeberfamilie ist sehr freundlich. Die Wohnung ist einfach toll, wir waren mit 4 Erwachsenen 2 Kindern ( 15 u. 3 Jahre ) und 1 Hund da. Sogar für das Kleinkind waren viele hilfreiche Accessoires wie Hochstühle, Stufentritt, Treppenschutzgitter, Wickeltisch, Spielzeug uvm vorhanden. Die Betten sind bequem, die Couch mit Sessel groß genug für einen Filmeabend. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Schöne, helle, große Wohnung, mit gut ausgestatteter Küche. Lage und Umgebung sind sehr gut, wenn man seinen Urlaub mal ganz draußen verbringen will. Mit dem Auto erreicht trotzdem schnell z.B. Osnabrück. Ideal für Fahrradurlaub, vor allem, wenn man sowohl Flachetappen mag als auch Mittelgebirgsfahrten.

Het was een uitstekend verblijf, alle mogelijkheden om zelf te koken, alles was er. Prima bedden en slaapkamers. Het enige nadeel is, dat het vrij ver weg van alles is, hetgeen natuurlijk ook weer als voordeel gezien kan worden. Top accomodatie.

Ein gelungenes Wochenende

Wir haben mit unserer Doppelkopf-Runde (5 Personen) ein verlängertes Wochenende hier verbracht und haben es sehr genossen. Es fehlte an nichts, und auch wenn das Wetter nur teilweise mitspielte, hatten wir einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt, auch dank des tollen Ofens mit reichlich Holzvorrat. Sehr schöne große Ferienwohnung mit sehr guter Ausstattung

Gut gefallen hat uns der großzügige Wohn-Essbereich mit Terrasse. Wanderwege sind in der Nähe sowie ein interessantes Museum. Und es gibt frische Eier vom Vermieter!

Wunderschöne, gemütliche Wohnung

Wir haben nasskalte Herbsttage in dieser tollen Wohnung verbracht und uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Einrichtung ist modern und gemütlich, die ganze Wohnung sehr gepflegt. Ideale Lage für das Varusschlacht Museum, aber auch Erkundung des Moores, zum Wandern und Joggen.

Großzügige, ansprechende Ferienwohnung

Wir hatten zu fünft einen herrlichen 3-Tagesaufenthalt und uns in der Wohnung sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut und gemütlich ausgestattet, alles, was man braucht ist vorhanden. Garten und Umgebung ist wunderbar und wir hatten einen netten Kontakt mit Familie vor dem Brocke. Vielen Dank!
