“a traditional Japanese hotel with Onsen and Tatami, would be wonderful if you wanna experience the local traditional way of living, the hotel provides japanese style breakfast on demand, the boss of the hotel runs the hotel by himself and is super friendly and nice to help the guests, furthermore, it is located by the forest park, although far from the city, it would be a great choice if you want to enjoy the nature. overall an very enjoyable stay and would stay next time if there is chance”

For instance there was this man at the front desk and even though he did not speak English, he made sure to help me get my suitcase delivered to my next destination. I also loved how the staff gave me a free cool neck towel for the hot weather and free socks! Oh, and the laundry facilities were amazing as well! I got to wash my clothes for 300 yen and dry them...

“More of the western style setup but still a compact business hotel for the Japanese.
It was very close to Kanayama station, tons of food options for every taste, and a Aeon mall with reasonable walking distance.
Only complaint I had to adjust to was the noise, it is a busy area until late at night and my room was on the train side. I did get use to it after a couple nights.
Breakfast has a few western style items to get you by, but their is a FamilyMart just downstairs, and a McDonalds...
