Peaceful and quiet

Sisters Getaway

Beautiful Countryside
The property was gorgeous and serene. It was private and had beautiful views of the countryside. It allowed us to distract ourselves from real life and relax. We read, cooked, hiked, and completed work we have been procrastinating. The cottage had everything you needed to cook any meal you wished and I fell in love with the kitchen. Thank you for the amazing time we got to spend at your cottage :)

Great quiet getaway!!
A quiet stress-free weekend getaway (from city noise) for boyfriend’s birthday… yay, mission accomplished!! Loved the glider under the gazebo. Loved the variety of ducks and chickens roaming free. And of course, Daisy, the dog. The cottage was impeccable and very nicely decorated and stocked with all you need! The hosts were were friendly and accommodating. Thank you!

Absolutely gorgeous
It was such a cute cottage. My boyfriend and I really just loved the place. I hope to stay there again in the future. Also, the dog was so friendly and kept walking with us to the cottage door everytime she was outside with us.

The property itself is gorgeous and worth every penny. I wish I spent more time enjoying the area around the property. This place is for people who like going to parks and enjoy nature because a lot of amenities are an hour plus drive (or the amenities we did anyways)

Wonderful Relaxing Weekend
The cottage was exactly as listed, cute, homey, cozy amidst lovely nature. Their dog daisy walked us from the driveway to the cottage and made sure we got in safe, and there was a lovely space waiting for us to relax and enjoy. The yard was gorgeous, our favorite was the outdoor roofed deck with seating and a hammock and a close second was breakfast outside under the vines. Matt and Eliza were responsive hosts. We look forward to returning to the cottage and to hearing stories from our friends we've recommended this lovely stay to. Thanks again.

Cottage Comfort
The cottage was very quaint and situated amongst a beautiful setting of flowers and greenery in the country but not far from town at all. The cottage itself was very comfortable and quiet. It provided a place for us to relax at the end of the day. An added bonus was having Daisy the dog greet us when we returned to the cottage. The stairs to the loft with the bedroom and bathroom are steep, but we got use to them. Evetything you think you may need is provided.

Relaxing getaway
Cottage is just right for a relaxing getaway. I met a friend there from NC who flew on for a family funeral. She used my car to go to the funeral and I spent the entire day at the cottage. It was the most relaxing day, beautiful surroundings, beautiful weather. Perfect place to go and unplug, deatress, and unwind.

Idyllic
Matt and Eliza have such a lovely little cottage that they share with us. Everything you would need (and maybe something you forgot!) is here. They are immediately responsive to all requests/inquiries and accommodating in every way. I highly recommend Wildflower to all who want a peaceful, warm and inviting stay in the Oxford area.

Gorgeous Countryside and Daisy
We enjoyed our stay in the Wildflower Cottage. Its proximity to family and friends in Oxford and Norwich was just what we were after and the bonus of that beautiful dog, Daisy, added so much to our stay. The weather couldn't have been much worse, but that's New York! Our only issue was the steepness of the staircase, but after we got used to it, it was fine. Wildflower Cottage is a lovely retreat.

Any and every concern that we had while staying was accommodated for at the soonest convenience of the owners, although we unfortunately did not get to meet Matt, Eliza was warm and welcoming to us and even was so gracious as to hold onto my sandals that I had left in the cottage our last night! I was able to drive back and pick them up from her, any hotel would have thrown them right away, I will always remember this trip with a great smile! Definitely recommend this to anyone staying away upstate

The cottage was really beautiful and cozzy. We enjoyed every minute that we stayed. 100% Recommended
The host and hostess were really nice and welcoming of the place, even their dog was nice to us. The space is not big nor small, it's just perfect. The surroundings of the cottage were really nice to look at, and although they're away from other residences there's still places nearby that are accesible with a car in case anything is needed. Overall, we would definitely come back for another getaway, you can't lose with the Wildflower Cottage.

Winter Wonderland
We enjoyed a lovely stay at Wildflower Cottage to ring in the new year. Eliza and Matt were warm hosts and very responsive - and dog was a fun addition to the welcoming committee! The cottage was nice and cozy during the snowfall in Oxford, and we enjoyed adventuring around the hiking trails in the local area. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and safe retreat in the countryside!

Christopher Robbins yard
Very peaceful location. The gardens on the property and side nook s and crannies within it made it feel like I would come across Winnie or Christopher Robbin at any turn. Plus Daisey the dog is awesome and oozes personality.

Short respite from crazy world!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wildflower cottage. Very cute with much more space than expected. The cottage is close to the owners' home but there are lots of little paths surrounded by wildflowers and farmer's fields. There were also two pavilions that we were welcomed to use; great for playing games or just relaxing! We only saw the owners when we needed them. The cottage is equipped with basic pots, pans, tea kettle, coffee maker, and hairdryer. All of our needs were met and we left feeling very relaxed!

Cozy Cottage
We stayed here for a quick over night while in town for a wrestling tournament. Our only regrets are we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the cottage and we didn’t stay another night!

Lovely country cottage
We loved the cottage - tucked behind the house down a stepping stone path from the driveway. It had everything we needed and was so comfortable - including the bed. We did find the tv a challenge to use (maybe our generation) and Matt was kind enough to come out to show us. It was very clean. The cost was just few dollars more than the Super 8, but it was cleaner, more comfortable, and we could cook a good breakfast (or lunch or dinner) as we wished instead of dealing with a restaurant (time and expense). We loved Daisy, their dog - so friendly and playful. We plan to stay there again in the spring when we visit family in Oxford.

In area on work. Relaxing location. Shame I had to work all day and could not enjoy. Clean and updated made for enjoyable stay. Would definitely stay again. Matt was helpful and very nice.

Gorgeous and Relaxing
We wished we could have stayed longer! Watching the fog rolling in over the cornfields every morning was the perfect October feeling. The foliage everywhere was gorgeous, and the cottage was decorated with adorable pumpkins and things, so it felt very homey. It was a happy, quiet stay, with no interruptions except from Daisy the Dog, who came and warmed our toes while we wrote and sketched for a few hours (she's very big and has a big bark, but she is a sweet dog). The internet seemed to come and go, but we had plenty of books and sketches to occupy ourselves with, so not a big deal. It was a perfect mini-moon after a big wedding!

Perfect little getaway
The location was perfect getaway. We were in town for a friends wedding at the Gilbertsville Farmhouse which was only about a 20 minute drive. The views during the drive were beyond spectacular, especially to us since we live in the city. The cottage was very clean, neat and cozy and had several amenities available. We loved our stay and wish we didn’t have to get back to Maryland so quickly! :)

Eliza and Matt, the hosts are helpful and friendly so was there a dog Daisy. My daughter and I had a great time before I sent her off to college. The cottage is very charming and it has all the amenities you would need as well as Wiii game!

Amazing Personal Getaway
This cottage was everything I hoped & more! We celebrated our honeymoon with a few nights here & i felt like it was custom decorated for us. Clean & spotless. Has everything you might have forgotten. Felt just like home. Friendly & delightful hosts. I hope we get to stay here again, but in the meantime I recommend to everyone!

Awesome Country Cottage
What a fantastic place to stay if what you want is to get away from it all! Not even great cell service but the Wi-Fi is just fine, perfect! Really cute place with plenty of cooking utensils, cutting boards, linens, towels, heaters, etc. Their dog is a beautiful year-old Newfie that is very friendly and will great you with a smile every time. Very quiet, no distractions, plenty of time and space to think. Would stay again!

Amazing get away cottage!
Matt and Eliza were amazing host and their cottage was incredible. The place was very clean and modern with everything you would need to have. A great stay. Best little retreat place ever
Couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the listing, I knew that Matt & Eliza were available to hang out, but the purpose of my stay was a writer's retreat, and they let me have my space. It ended up snowing lightly, which was so beautiful and perfect. I was able to set up my instruments, practice and write... in peace. Sooooo peaceful. Every single detail was thought of. I look forward to making this a retreat place for myself for years to come. The dog that greeted me every time I left the property was so friendly, too. Made me want one of my own. Thanks, guys!

Peaceful and Beautiful
We loved the scenaray. Baseball is what brought us to this area. We were in and out based around a busy baseball schedule. But, we loved the peacefulness and of course the sound of nature. Was great to be greeted by Daisy (their dog) made us feel like home. Eliza was so gracious. This was a memorable trip!!

Wonderful Cottage in a beautiful country
We loved our stay. The cottage is a great get away with wonderful views. We enjoyed the area, running, biking, and just exploring. We watched deer, turkeys and woodchucks in the fields. One evening we went our on the porch and watched fireflies around the yard. It really was great. I can't say enough about this wonderful place. I would highly recommend it to anyone look for a get away in a great country setting!

Just what we needed!
My wife and I spent our wedding anniversary here and it was a perfect quiet place to relax and enjoy each other. The place was clean and everything worked. The property had tons of bird feeders and beautiful scenery to explore. Oxford, a near by town also has a retro feel with food and stuff to do, which didn't take to long to get to. I would recommend this place for those looking to enjoy the peaceful country side and look forward to going back again someday.

A very quaint and lovely cottage Perfect!🐲
Our stay was during one of the worst snowstorms this year for Oxford. It was very quiet except when the plows went by. The hosts are a very nice, very young and very mature couple Eliza and Matt. They kept the walks shoveled and shared very delicious chocolate chip cookies with us! We plan to do it again!
