Beach Classic & Tropical Backyard Bliss!

Seeking a vacation, long weekend or beach getaway footsteps from the sand? Place for families & friends to stay nearby or business trip homestead? Then you'll love the Casita, our enchanted cozy retreat on a cul-de-sac! All the amenities you could want, from ocean sounds to cinema surround-sound movie nights, you'll be entertained "Hollywood Beach" style! Enhanced with ambient lighting, high ceilings and more, enjoy Backyard BBQ's and Sunset strolls with the Dog (READ policy below).

Remodeled interiors, we offer three bedrooms with different themes: Contemporary (Cal-King) with double mirror closets and SmartTV, the Retro Room (Queen) and Vintage Antique (Full size 4-Poster Bed). Great closet space in every bedroom. The living room couch converts to comfortable Full size bed, great for kids and extra guest! Kitchen includes Frigidaire Professional Series stainless appliances, wide counter space and fully equipped for dine-in pleasure. After a full day of activities, sink into our luxury soaking tub under the rainfall window pane, or enjoy a long shower with four massage settings! We have No AC, only ceiling, floor fans and cool nightly ocean breeze -- if AC is a must have, can find at newer/upgraded homes nearby.

The landscaped Backyard is fully enclosed with locking side gates and whether having morning coffee on the patio, basking in the sun or firing up the grill, you're sure to enjoy this secluded area.

Our local area has much to offer from Surfing to Sea-glass hunts, Whale Watching (seasonal) to the Sunday Farmer's Market at Channel Islands Harbor. The Casita is simply charming in a great location with many restaurants, retail and tourist attractions nearby. Can spend a day discovering Ventura, Ojai or Santa Barbara... we even have wineries!

Please submit inquiry for one (1) small or medium dog up to 55lbs (age/breed/weight restrictions apply). Pet fee is $55/night. A Dog Policy will be provided and Preapproval is required before final booking.

Fun in the Sun and even Rain!
My husband and I stayed at the Casita with my son, his lovely wife and our grandkids, age 4 and 6 months, visiting from Alaska. The Casita was a wonderful place to stay!! We will definitely do it again! The house is not only well equipped, the host has thought of everything and added thoughtful touches- games for kids, DVD's, dog supplies, even coffee! We want to go back just to enjoy the things we didn't even get to enjoy this time. My favorite thing was all the pillows because pillows is one of my favorite things. The charming Casita would be fun with a couple girlfriends or families or just friends wanting some fun in the sun!

Everything you need for a great stay
This host is excellent from start to finish. She is extremely responsive. We were not in the house for a vacation, sadly. We had to move out for termite fumigation and had to find a place that accepted pets. She was very accommodating and kind. The house has everything a home would have, not like most vacation rentals. She has tried to think of every possible thing someone could need and has it in the house. It is a short walk to the beach and there are nearby restaurants and activities. The beds are very comfortable and everything is decorated very nicely. I recommend this house for couples and families with children.

Our stay at the "Casita"
We had a lovely stay at the casita. It was clean with perfect location that was close to everything. Very short walk to the most peaceful beach. Laura was very attentive and available. We would definitely stay again.

Great cottage by the beach
Host was thorough and thoughtful. Cottage was on a quiet cul-de-sac right off Hollywood Beach. Close walk to cafes and marina. The home was well-equipped with all we needed. Three bedrooms worked well for our family. Backyard had bbq grill and room to eat out. Very quiet spot, especially at night.

Well equipped beach house
Very Clean! Host has the house filled with every convenience in the kitchen and bathroom; soaps and beach toys and even a cooler for the beach. Great food nearby and this beach is great!

Loved the Casita on Ocean View
Laura was fantastic, and our family had a wonderful week at the Casita. A short walk to the beach, close to other attractions in the Channel Islands area and amazing sunsets. The home is spotless, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed and more! We hope to return soon. Mary

Ocean Getaway
We had a family wedding in Oxnard but wanted to have some beach time as well. I am glad we found this cottage so close to the ocean. The cottage was quaint, cozy and very clean. There were several games to play and the kitchen was stocked with the basics - coffee, tea, spices and condiments. We enjoyed spending time in the small tropical backyard as well. There were boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas and sand toys for our use. There was even a pack and play for the baby to sleep in so we didn't have to bring our own. The communication with Laura was great and the check-in and check-out instructions were detailed and easy. When we arrived, there was a welcome basket full of treats and some practical items too! We hope to come back again soon. My only suggestion is if you like really squishy pillows to sleep on you might want to bring one of your own.

Attention to detail and fantastic location!
Felt like home and so close to the beach. We walked the beach every morning and were thrilled at how close we were to the beach and how great the neighborhood was. The attention to detail had me blown away. Cleanliness is my number 1 non negotiable when renting and this home did not disappoint. There were detailed and helpful instructions thoughtout. Very well stocked with beach essentials, kitchen and bath needs, laundry, games, outdoor spaces, even a variety of charging cords just in case, and a thoughtful gift basket (we especially enjoyed the treats). The host was very attentive and I can tell she takes great pride in this home and her job. I would certainly stay here again.

Best little beach bungalow!
We had a wonderful experience this past Thanksgiving staying at the casita! It was very well stocked with all of the necessities, the location is perfect for walking and exploring the area and the owner was very attentive and responsive to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this property for a weekend getaway for two or a vacation with family/friends. All of your needs will be met for space and any activities you wish to enjoy on the beach front! It is centrally located for exploring up and down the central coast and there are plenty of eateries and grocery options within walking distance or a very short drive.
