Daughters Birthday Getaway
This was a lovely beach cottage, perfect walking distance to beach and store, with food and activities very close. Our grandson absolutely loved the sea lions. Thank you George!

Our stay at Silver Strand
We had THE BEST time at George’s cottage! Everything we needed was there (and more!!) the property was clean, check in was a total breeze and George was super easy to communicate with. Absolutely LOVED that there was an outdoor shower. So convenient! Everything we needed for thr beach was included and I totally recommend Silver Strand beach!! Kiddie beach was nice was sipping coffee or taking a stroll but I was worried to let my kids swim since there was so many seals and sea lions, but We all loved walking there and just watching the sea animals. We came to California for a wedding but really the most memorable part of our trip was the cottage and how convenient it was to everything. Walking distance to store, restaurant, cafe, and BEACHES!!!

Beach days
This was our second summer at this property. We truly enjoy the property especially its back & front patios and it’s proximity to the beach. It’s a great getaway while still being close to shopping, eateries; anything you might need. Just a couple house keeping suggestions; the bathroom needs new rugs & the master bedroom desperately needs new window blinds. We will definitely be back!

Beach cottage
The property and the cottage is absolutely wonderful very comfortable close to the beach just a nice place to kick back and relax and George is the best host and works with you and communicates with you And make sure everything is just right which it always is

Loved it here !!
I really enjoyed staying in the Beach Cottage and my pets seemed quite comfortable as well. Very close, approx 1.5 miles to the shopping center on Channel Island blvd. It was like home away from home for us. Very clean. Neighbors are super nice and its a very pet friendly neighborhood 😀 Five stars across the board. Will rent again in the future if available. So happy I found this place on VRBO.

Convenient cottage in silver strand
The cottage worked great for our family of four. It was well equip with things for the beach and had several outdoor seating options. It was right next to a small harbor beach and short walk to the main beach. It is also located around the corner from a general store and a few casual restaurants. We enjoyed our stay!

We had some trouble getting into the house but the owner was quick to help us.
Very nice property. Needs a new toaster (takes three cycles to toast bread) and hot pads (very dirty) in kitchen. Plenty of beds and lots of beach needs (boogie boards, chairs, etc.) Both front & back patios were enjoyed. I would suggest some cleaning for the many fake plants. Overall a wonderful property. We would certainly recommend this property & use it again.

Fabulous Beach Cottage
The house is updated and well appointed. The beachy decor has designer touches throughout. The furnishings are comfortable and the garage is filled with beach toys, bikes , boards wagons, rolling coolers, chairs umbrella and beach towels. Having a front and back patio gave us the option of a sea breeze from the front patio or more warmth and seclusion in the back. The host was very hands on and made sure we were enjoying ourselves and that everything was OK.

Love, LOVE, LOVED this cute house which was close to EVERYTHING
We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was simply perfect! This house is close to EVERYTHING. Had a blast even though I was crying inside at times as we were there for our youngest child, the "baby" college orientation. Will definitely stay again! George is EXTREMELY accommodating, over the top Host. Thanks so much George for everything

Hop skip and a jump to the beach.
Great location to all area. 5 minutes walk to the beach. 3 minutes drive to the stores and all the eateries. Perfect location.

Silver Strand Get Away
This house is awesome! Great location, clean, well appointed kitchen, front and back porches extend the living space. We had a wonderful time. George the owner was reached easily and very easy to work with.

Super clean beach cottage, great location
Our family enjoyed this Silver Strand beach cottage! The home is clean, well stocked with beach gear (chairs, towels, wagon, umbrella, lots of boogie boards, coolers, etc.), the kitchen is well appointed, we felt safe in the quiet neighborhood, and the back patio was relaxing and cool in the evening. It really is just a short easy walk to the beach. Silver Strand beach is very nice and was never crowded while we were there. The water was chilly, as we expected. The owner was very responsive to the one question we had, and it was nice to know he was readily available if needed, but fortunately we didn’t need anything. The beds were comfortable, and though it got up to 90 degrees one day, the house stayed cool with the windows open and everything cooled down considerably in the evenings. We enjoyed biking around the neighborhoods and beach with the 5 beach cruisers provided. We also enjoyed a trip to the Getty Villa (about an hour away), hiking the Ray Miller trail, (about 20 minutes away) and visiting El Matador beach (about 30 minutes away). We highly recommend this charming home!

Dream vacay for 82 year old woman, beach cottage for two weeks. She was ecstatic.
Great location, lots to do near by. Naval base was a plus, she was in the navy as a young woman and her husband retired from the navy. Went whale watching, to Huntington library and botanical gardens. Strolled on several beaches. Ate great seafood. Relaxed alot on the patio. Had her done and his wife over for dinner we cooked. Neighbors were friendly. Perfect.

Great spot for snowbirds
Our month long stay at the beach cottage during winter was delightful. Check in was easy, the cottage was spotless, master bed was comfy, and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. We loved the location, a half block from the beach, which enabled us to walk there every day. It was also well situated for exploring up and down the coast and inland to the picturesque villages of Ojai and Solvang, as well as taking the ferry to the Channel Islands. After spending our days away, we found the cottage to be a relaxing home to return to. The front and back patios were nice spots to enjoy morning coffee or evening drinks. The neighborhood was quiet and neighbors were friendly. George was a great host, available if needed (which we didn't) but not intrusive.

This lovely 2-br house worked out perfectly for two adults, although it can accommodate more. Very clean, fully equipped kitchen, quiet residential neighborhood, a short walk to the water. Highly recommended.

Wonderful and Relaxing
Simple easy check in with code emailed. One block to harbor and BEACH! Cottage had beach motif, nice patio s( front n back) Had bikes and boogie boards available for our use. Nice fireplace heater. We had a great stay. We will be back!

A wonderful stay at the coast
We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It is close to the beach in a quiet neighborhood and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. It is well maintained and we had everything we needed. I also enjoyed one of the bikes to cruise around the neighborhood.

All I can say about this property is nothing but great things!! Warm and cozy that makes you feel like home! The hosts are very friendly and easy to talk to. Fantastic, can’t wait to do it again!
George was so helpful, quickly responsive to any questions, and polite and respectful, as we were to him. The fully fenced yard was wonderful and we walked to kiddy and “big” beach twice each day to play in the waves and sand! Cruiser bikes and boogie boards in garage were a blast and beds were comfy, except the pull out couch, which worked fine on the floor, sure needs more support! George makes it easy to shower with wonderful hot water on the back porch to get sand off. Thanks George!! We’ll do this again in a couple years, if the world still has life on it!

We enjoyed our time there. Bed in second bedroom is a bunkbed…. For an adult, it could use a thicker mattress and one of the outlets did not work. Overall, very nice.

Lois I am sorry you found the bunk bed unacceptable. The cottage is designed to accommodate a small family. The electrical outlet that you are referencing is controlled by a switch at the bedroom door next to the ceiling fan switch is located. George

Perfect weekend getaway
This property was so cute and fun! Close to the beach. quiet. Nice little backyard with lounge chairs. Garage was stocked with numerous beach toys, chairs, bikes... anything you need or a day at the beach, I plan on staying here again.

Nice little cottage
Really enjoyed our stay. Short, easy walk to beach. A few little restaurants and a corner store a short walk away and near plenty of larger stores and restaurants. House had everything we needed. Very clean, private back yard. A/C not available, on really hot days would be unpleasantly warm but there are fans and you can open windows to let a breeze in. Manager very responsive.

Everything we could have hoped for and more!
Our family of three (plus one dog), and one extra teen, spent Memorial Day Weekend at the cottage. Cute beach decor, chairs, boards, bikes, and scooters. Everything you need! George, the owner, is great - easy to contact. Neighbors are very friendly as well. Very easy to get around, easy walk or bike to beach, come home for lunch, hit the beach again in the afternoon. Corner market (with every item you could possibly imagine) and food, also steps away. I am noticing that I have used the word "easy" a lot in this review. I guess it's because it was! It's exactly what you want on a getaway... nothing stressful. It was all so easy. Can't wait to go back!

lovely, well-appointed beach home
This is a well-appointed house - an easy walk to the beach. The kiddie beach is across the street, and Silver Strand beach is a short walk. There are beach chairs and boogie boards in the garage. The back deck is delightful - great spot for just relaxing and/or having a meal. The owner is attentive and responsive.

Nice property
It’s a really nice property and area. I really liked the patio area. Nicely furnished and well equipped. No AC which the beach air was cold enough that we actually need the heater 1 night. Not as close to the beach as I expected. It’s closer to the harbor. George is very responsive and seemed really nice.

Silver Strand Cottage
We stayed at the Silver Strand cottage for 5 days. It is a cozy cottage just up from the kiddy beach and the local store. Location was excellent for our sunset walks to the jetty. The cottage had everything we needed, except the coffee maker broke halfway through our stay. The master bed could use and upgrade to a king, but otherwise all was good. The owner was very responsive. We would recommend this cottage to others.

Cute Beach Cottage
The cottage is a cute, cozy bungalow within easy walking distance to Silverstrand beach. It has a fun back patio and the cottage is situated in a great location, making it idyllic for surfing and enjoying long walks on the beach. Silver Strand Cottage
This cottage is perfect for small family/friends. My wife and I stayed and were joined by my son and his girlfriend for part of the trip. Cottage was clean and good size for 4 adults. We enjoyed the bikes and the easy access to a nice quiet beach. George was very communicative and the cottage lives up to the description. We'd stay again.

Charming and great location
Our stay was most enjoyable! My husband, 3 teen girls and I stayed comfortably. We enjoyed riding bikes to the beach, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and the beautiful sunsets. Great location with plenty of amenities. We look forward to our next stay!

It's a lovely area and the property was lovely also.
The property is a close walk to the beach and and there is a yummy little taco stand, "Pepe's Mexican Food" that is just a close walk. Ya'll coming from ay hot climate areas you need to take note that there is no A/C with this property, but with open windows you can keep it cool, because the mornings and evenings are super nice :) George was a great Host and easy to get hold of. The area is very safe. The Cottage fully stocked with amenities. I would recommend staying here.
