“Host is awesome. The house decor is unique and interesting to see the things collected on the host's travels. Breakfast was delicious. The only negative experience was the size of the bed. We booked the room that advertised a king sized bed, and it wasnt a king. It was two double mattresses pushed together. The drawback of this was my feet dangled off the bed all night long. I have a king at home and was hoping to achieve the same level of comfort. Other than that, everything was wonderful. ”

“Walking distance from the village of Wakefield, yet it felt like it was in the middle of nowhere. The staff were friendly and 100% bilingual. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The restaurant food was great and the sound of falls in background created a nice ambiance. The wooden exteriors of the building are starting to show their age, but that was the only negative I can think of. We will return.”

“Excellent as usual, I love the 2nd floor balcony, since I am a smoker, I can just sit outside my room and enjoy the weather at the same time...Beds are comfy and kitchenette is awesome..full size microwave and fridge. I would prefer a keurig machine. But I always bring my own.”

“The hotel was in a convenient location with respect to commuting to Ottawa. However, the beds/pillows were not comfortable. We are on the first floor and the you can hear all the movement on the floor above. The walls are paper thin. You can hear the outdoor and indoor hallway sounds clearly. The sink did not drain properly and the bathroom was quite tight. The mini fridge was also extremely loud. We did not get a restful sleep and one of us had to participate in the 1/2 marathon the next day.”

“The pictures on the website doesn't respect the state of decadence of the room. It was also quiete dirty. The only positive thing is the possibility to park free your car”

“Breakfast was very good. Hotel was in a good location, had Nickels for dinner close by. Pool wasn't very clean kept getting trapped by long dark hairs, water was cool and area around pool soaked, had to request towels as there were none when we went to check out pool.”

“Very nice, breakfast was great, staff very helpful. Beds very comfortable. Only complaint is that we stayed for 3 nights. Our room was never cleaned. The first day was my fault since I the tags for the room were not in English I mistakenly put on my door. However, the next day I did not put a tag and room still not cleaned.”
