The oven needs a manual to operate. There are only enough dining chairs and room at the table for 6. We were 7. Only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom for a week? Only enough silverware for one meal. The washer didn’t work for the first 4 days. The pilot light in the gas fire is out and leaked gas. The hot tub needed to be repaired. Management turned off the hot tub the afternoon before we left to heat the pool—presumably for the next guests—so we couldn’t use the hot tub the last night because it was cold. The vacuum was broken. No dust pan or brush.

The home was pet friendly. The rooms were clean. Would have been helpful to have simple directions on usage of ovens, also we did not use dishwasher as it had a very strong foul odor. We only had hot water in all three bathrooms until after 7:00 pm on our 2nd night. One of the bedrooms had a smoke detector that chirped all night and mid afternoon the next day when the handyman cam and replaced batteries and also fill the propane tank. We enjoyed the pool and also the pool table.

The home was beautiful, clean and located near many places. I am rating it lower because there were a lot of things I would not have expected from a high-end rental. Empty soap dispenser, water from shower leaked onto the floor, large rug in a bedroom was peeling back which made it a tripping hazard and low grade bathroom towels.

Lovely but needs some attention

The property is lovely but it had some issues that need addressing. I sent the property management company, Poppy, a list and asked to discuss it prior to my review but never heard back from anyone. The biggest problems were the broken ice maker (we need ice in the desert!), broken dishwasher (would not stop beeping) and multiple broken outdoor umbrellas by the pool. Our first day was filled with various maintenance people at the house and the result was none of the issues were fixed. They also fumbled our confirmed early check-in. Other than these main issues, there are some minor maintenance issues throughout that I made them aware of.

Lovely and spacious home.

Lovely and spacious home. Pool, fountain and hot tub was great. Outdoor areas wonderful for morning and evening gatherings. Kitchen had everything needed. We will book again next year!

Great stay

The team at Poppy was super accommodating and the house was great. We had one issue with the pool being heat to 96 degrees, but the team quickly addressed it for us. Listing is accurate, and was perfect for a girls trip. Would stay again.

Palm Springs House

There were 5 of us - all women - there for the BNP tennis tournament. The house layout was great. For the price we paid, the quality and quantity of hand and bath towels could be improved. The drawer in one vanity was broken, no kleenex and we all felt the beds were too low to the ground. The kitchen could have had a few more dishes/amenities too.

Fabulous Property, More Communication Needed

We had an amazing stay for my 40th birthday. The house was immaculately clean and comfortable to stay in. The kitchen was stocked with every cooking gadget we needed, and my friends were happy to each have their own beds. Excellent photo ops in the backyard! When I first made the reservation, I requested the pool to be heated. Being able to swim in was a major reason for choosing this property. We arrived to a cold pool and then were told that only the pool OR the hot tub could be heated- not both. We had to download an app to control the hot tub which was frustrating as we wanted to arrive and not have to do extra steps to enjoy the stay. While everyone I was in touch with was very kind and tried to be helpful, the lack of communication upon arrival put a slight damper on things. Overall- great property, amazing views, easy to get to our activities, and we had a great stay. Better organization/communication before arrival would have made it perfect.

Great house and great management company!

6 of us (3 couples) in our 50s all stayed here for New Year’s Eve. We had a great time and the house was amazing…heated pool and spa and we had our own rooms and bathrooms.Great location, as well…about 2 miles from downtown and an easy bike ride.Overall, the house and the management company were all top. Itch and our stay was effortless.I would highly recommend the home and Stay Poppy management company!!

House as advertised

Our family of 6 had plenty of room. Enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and ALL of the TVs...didn't have to miss a football play. We felt like the house was in need of attention (ceiling fans, front porch light, oven, towel bar, tp holder, rugs, oven)...all reported to VRBO contact. VRBO contact was quick to respond, including sending out maintenance service. Only two chairs for gaming table...could have used 4 more. Beds, linens and pillow were comfortable. Would rent again after a little TLC.

Fabulous Fifties in Palm Springs

The Day Dreamer was a perfect spot to celebrate a fiftieth birthday weekend. The pool, hot tub, putting green, and pool table added to fun! More than enough space for our group of six to fit comfortably. Loved the decor and the privacy of having our own space.

A special place to spend time with family.

This is probably one of the better neighborhoods in Palm Springs. Close to the airport but not too much noise. Great view. Nice size home and lots of fun things to do with kids young and old. This is a great home. Only complaints came from our older guests who found beds slightly hard for them; but the rest of us found them to be perfectly comfortable. :)

My family of four, my brother and my mom stayed with our two dogs for a week. The place is great even if the weather isnt perfect with a pool table and space to play games. Feels like a private retreat. We mostly stayed at the property and played golf/swam/etc. The kitchen has basics but they are very cheap so bring anything you must have as well as any spices/olive oil/etc.

Nice digs

A deluxe property. The house is perfectly maintained. While the reason to go to Palm Springs is to be outdoors, this place is also great if, like us, you run into some rainy days. There's a pool table, a game table, board games, a giant TV, etc., in addition to the backyard amenities when the weather cooperates (pool, putting green, grill, a lot of seating, etc.). The folks running the operation are great to deal with as well.
