    Your serene Palm Springs getaway awaits at the historic William Gray Purcell compound. Thoughtfully remodeled and recently refreshed with sleek interiors and a brand new pool and spa to relax in and enjoy the gorgeous mountain views.

    Tucked away in the Tahquitz River Estates, this single-story, multi-structure compound offers privacy while being minutes away to golf, casinos, hiking spots, shopping, restaurants, bars and all that buzzing downtown Palm Springs has to offer.

    The former vacation retreat of famed Prairie School architect William Gray Purcell features hallmarks of the architectural movement—an open and airy floor plan, clean horizontal lines, and fluid integration with the surrounding landscape. Whether you’re a fan of modernism or simply enjoy the solitude of the desert this special compound is the perfect place to gather to celebrate life’s big moments or just chill.

    We have furnished and stocked the home with all the amenities we enjoy ourselves and pride ourselves on cleanliness and comfort. We are often close by if needed, but we care about your privacy and will leave you to enjoy!

    The compound is composed of three structures suitable for up to 10 guests with 5 beds and 4 bathrooms: a 2 BR main house, adjacent studio apartment, and a stand-alone casita and pool room.

    The Main House
    The main house opens into an expansive and inviting living room, seamlessly flowing into the new gourmet kitchen, wet bar, and dining area. There is a new 75 Inch Smart TV, comfy sofa, dining table and ample seating. A large accordion glass door opens to the pool and grounds. The master bedroom features a king size bed and en suite bathroom with a shower and a tub. The guest bedroom has a queen size bed and adjacent full bathroom completes the main house.

    The Studio
    Adjacent to the main house with it's own separate entrance and rear exit that opens to the pool. The space is beautifully appointed with a Queen size bed, 55 Inch Smart TV, full bathroom, small wet bar and seating area. The unit stays cool or warm with it's own mini split unit.

    The Casita
    The Casita features a small living room a large sliding glass window adjacent to the beautiful pool and an incredible view of the mountains. The living room has a wet bar, refrigerator and queen size sleeper sofa, 55 Inch Smart TV and game table stocked with board games and puzzles. A separate private bedroom complete with Queen size bed and a full bathroom make the Casita large enough to comfortably sleep up to four. Both the bedroom and living room in the Casita have their own mini splits.

    The Pool Room
    The former garage is now a game and entertainment space. The pool room features a large sectional sofa, comfy chairs, a 65 Inch Smart TV as well as a full sized washer and dryer.

The rooms are furnished with a mix of old and new to reflect the history of Palm Springs, our love of modern, eclectic furniture and to highlight the original Prairie style architecture. There are numerous comfortable spaces to gather, play games, watch TV, make a cocktail, cook, or simply enjoy a quiet morning coffee while watching the resident roadrunner play outside.

    Essentials, Amenities and Luxuries
    **New Nectar mattresses in every room
    **Interesting books to peruse in every room throughout the property
    **High-speed internet, remote desk in the studio if you have to work while you vacation...
    **Fully-stocked kitchen
    **Wine and beverage cooler
    **Brand new washer and dryer
    **House is fully stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, and laundry detergent
    **Each bathroom is stocked with OSEA body soap and Ursa Major shampoo and conditioner
    **4 Smart TV's Live channels streaming on HULU

    Guests have full, private access to the entire home, pool, hot tub, backyard, and parking. The indoor fireplace is decorative only not to be used.

    Pool heating available upon request (extra fee: $150 for first day, $100/day thereafter; limited to 84°F). Spa heating included and available on demand. Shallow pool and is not meant for diving.

    Any fines, citations or penalties imposed against us for actions triggering a violation of the City of Palm Springs will be deducted from the security deposit. Such examples can be found in our House Rules.

    In the City of Palm Springs, Occupant must be at least 25 years of age or older. By continuing with this reservation, Occupant represents that they are older than 25 years of age and further warrants that other occupants are either over the age of 25, or are accompanied by an adult guardian.

    Palm Springs has strict ordinances that govern vacation rentals. In particular, we want you to note that `NO outside music is allowed at vacation rental homes.` I know, we all love our tunes out by the pool, but it`s just not allowed by law. Music may not be heard at the property lines at any time of the day (that includes music coming from inside the home). Please abide by this rule so you don`t get fined by the police, and so we don`t lose our vacation rental permit.

    No parties or events permitted.

    NO REFUNDS - Even the best or newest home has equipment that may occasionally malfunction and cannot be guaranteed operational 100% of the time. We promise to act immediately to remedy any issues, however, we do not relocate or issue refunds due to malfunctioning equipment or any other guest dissatisfaction or due to construction noise or any other items out of our control, unless the home is considered uninhabitable.

    HOUSE RULES
    -Please respect check-in and checkout times. Check-in: 4pm-10pm. Checkout: 10am
    -Primary renter must be over the age of 25, have a fully verified profile and previous positive reviews inside the booking platform.
    -Local ordinance requires host to obtain a photocopy of the renter`s ID for verification before check-in.
    -This is a private property and the host reserves the right to access the property at any time to perform maintenance repairs necessary or requested by the renter.
    - Landscaping & Pool maintenance schedule: we are unable to offer refunds or credits for inconveniences due to scheduling and maintenance done during your stay. We also request that our maintenance teams are not turned away if they should overlap your stay.
    - Absolutely no parties or loud music.
    - All rentals with 28+ nights require a rental agreement signed naming and identifying all adult occupants (must present valid ID).

    LOCAL SPECIFIC RULES AND REGULATIONS
    Regulations in Palm Springs requires every guest who books a Vacation Rental in the city to sign and confirm receipt of the Good Neighbor Brochure and the Statement of Rules to be able to gain access to the property. Our local team will be arranging a meet up within 24 hours of check-in to meet you and collect the aforementioned documents and your ID.

    As the person booking this property, you are the main point of contact and person responsible for ensuring your guests comply with the house rules and City rules. Please be advised that the City will fine renters in $500 per occurrence without notice if they fail to comply with the local ordinance.

    The main sources of violations are:
    -An excessive and unaccounted number of guests onsite
    -An excessive number of cars
    -Loud outdoor music (and this includes playing music from inside the home so you can hear it outside)
    -Trash left outside and in sight

    Only registered guests as listed on the rental agreement should be on the premises. No additional guests or visitors allowed.

    We apologize for any inconvenience, however, the City of Palm Springs is not treating this lightly and everyone has to obey and adapt to the new scenario.

    Additional Cleaning Policy
    Guests are expected to leave the property in a reasonably clean condition, consistent with normal use. Any cleaning required beyond what is considered normal or reasonable, as determined by the property management, will result in an additional cleaning fee of $100 per hour. This fee covers costs such as extended cleaning times or specialized cleaning needs such as excessive trash, stains or spills requiring professional treatment, excessive pet hair, etc.

    Important Fee Disclosure for Long-Term Stays:
    Should this property be reserved for 28 days or more, we reserve the right to apply additional monthly fees to cover certain ongoing expenses (eg utilities) not included in the standard nightly rate.
    These may include, but are not limited to:
    • Gas and electricity
    • Water and sewer
    • Trash and recycling
    These fees may be assessed as either:
    • A flat monthly fee, or
    • A fee calculated as up to 5% of the monthly rent.
    Such fees may be collected directly through the booking platform or invoiced separately as permitted by the booking platform policy. For estimation purposes, please assume an additional fee equal to 5% of the monthly rent unless otherwise specified in advance.

Absolutely loved the property. Clean, stylish, well appointed with amenities in every bedroom. Home decor fabulous, brand new pool and pool deck were stunning. Best short term rental I’ve ever stayed in.

WHAT A STAY!! This was luxury at its finest with a host to match. Gorgeous, refurbished modern property, 3 separate living spaces so great for couples or extended family. Fantastic mountain view. Very close to downtown. Large pool/jacuzzi, 4 TVs, huge kitchen, everything very well-stocked. Dan the host was AMAZING, completely responsive and caring. Fixed a small issue immediately. Comfy beds and furniture throughout. Beautiful updated bathrooms. Quiet neighborhood. Washer/dryer. Can't say enough about this gorgeous property. JUST BOOK IT before someone else grabs it. We will be back, for sure!
