“Amazing staff(very kind and detailed oriented) and beautifully traditional ryokan that I enjoyed staying here. But the a bit strict about the hours- the entrance door is locked between 12am to 6 am so if you are an avid runner or late night party person, you better not stay here. Also they are quite flexible that they let me to use the library for my business meeting at 5 am in Japanese time(4 pm EST) but there is no business area that you can use at their non working hours(library opens at 8...

The structure itself, one of the few traditional that are still around in Arima Onsen, the staff that was unbelievably helpful, the dinner that was delicious and well presented, and the two baths, that thanks to the fact that there are just few guests in the hotel we enjoyed whenever we wanted and almost never waited for! ”

“The staff were incredibly friendly. We got the breakfast and dinner. Dinner was a very nice 8 course meal with local soda options as well. They also set up our beds while we were at dinner. The hotel private onsen has silver and gold pools with both skin and hair products for use.”

“The accomodations and bathing area are a bit worn, but this is reflected with the price. The service is exceptional however, and I really enjoyed the onsen. Onsen is tattoo friendly which I needed. There is a smoking area within the building. It was a nice, traditional experience; the breakfast was particularly interesting. ”
