“I should have booked 2 nights to really enjoy! Everything was excellent. My 1st time in Japan and this was lovely. Staff checking me in spoke great English. I booked a huge tatami room and had a balcony overlooking the river. There is a turn-down service while you’re at dinner. Buffet was fantastic and the whiskey was not watered down at all! Definitely try the sesame ball things for desert. There are clear English instructions on how to use the onsens and an app that shows you how crowded...

“子ども連れには、最高のホテルでした。 周辺のテーマパークにも車で5 、6分程度とかなりアクセスも良かったです。 調理器具ももう豊富で、コンビニで買ってきたものを温める等、簡単な料理には困りませんでした。プロジェクターを子供たちはとても喜んでました。お風呂、水回りもとても清潔で快適な旅でした。 また、ぜひ泊まりたいです。 キッチンペーパーはあったんですが、少なかったので予備も置いておいていただけると助かりました。”

“It was a fantastic experience to be able to stay in a traditional home for a few nights. Yoshiko made our stay so comfortable and provided advice on sightseeing, rides to and from the station, gave us snacks and breakfast food and did our laundry. What a treasure. We hope to go back!”

“The staffwas friendly and accommodating. Talking on the phone was difficult due to language barrier, but there were a couple English speakers on staff that were able to assist us. “山奥なので心配していましたが施設は綺麗な状態で、露天風呂から見える景色がよく、また、食事もとても美味しかったです。仲居さんの対応も良かったです。 ただ、最近は温泉の出が悪い状況らしく、露天風呂は温度調節が必要でした。気温が高い季節であれば、気持ち良く長湯ができそうな感じでした。 周辺には観光施設は特にありませんが、大自然に囲まれているだけでも非日常感があってよかったです。市バスは頼めば、宿の入り口で止まってくれます。 前日に同じ価格帯の日光市内の旅館に泊まりましたが、満足感はこちらの方が強かったです。また泊まりに行きたいと感じさせてくれる宿でした。”

“The hotel is exactly what I imagined a perfect stay would be like in Japan. It has EVERYTHING I expected. The traditional style, the view, the food, the vibe.. The staff are very welcoming and responsive and helpful. I bought the half board. The breakfast and dinner are wonderful. The location is also great, very close to the sites and nice cafes and restaurants. Strongly recommended! Would definitely stay longer for a week next time in Nikko. ”
