Charmant studio cosy situé en plein cœur du 2ᵉ arrondissement, au sein d’un bel immeuble parisien au cachet authentique. Pensé pour offrir à la fois calme et confort moderne, ce logement est un véritable cocon en centre-ville, idéal pour se reposer après une journée bien remplie. Son emplacement exceptionnel permet de rejoindre à pied les quartiers emblématiques des Halles, de Montorgueil et de l’Opéra, avec leurs restaurants, boutiques et lieux culturels. Parfait pour un séjour professionnel comme pour une escapade touristique, ce studio est une excellente base pour découvrir Paris à pied et vivre pleinement l’ambiance parisienne.



The Space:

Le studio offre un lit double de 140 cm, une salle de bains moderne avec douche et toilettes récemment rénovées, ainsi qu’une cuisine entièrement équipée comprenant micro-ondes, plaques de cuisson, réfrigérateur/congélateur, machine à café, bouilloire et tous les ustensiles nécessaires pour préparer vos repas. Vous y trouverez également une table à manger pour deux personnes, un espace bureau avec chaise idéal pour le télétravail, une télévision et une connexion Wi-Fi. Das Appartment (ein ehemaliges Ladenlokal) hatte für mich einen wichtigen Vorteil. Ich konnte mein Fahrrad problemlos darin parken. Ja, das Marais ist ein belebtes Viertel - wie ganz Paris ziemlich belebt ist. Ja, einige Straßen weiter laufen auch Prostituierte. Aber thats not the problem. Der Hauptnachteil des Appartments ist, dass man es nicht lüften kann. Einzig die Eingangstür ist zu öffnen. Nicht einmal der Lüfter in deren separatem Oberlicht konnte aktiviert werden. Ausserdem hat sich jemand in meiner Abwesenheit im Appartment umgeschaut. Das hinterlässt keinen guten Eindruck. Telfonisch war niemand zu erreichen. Der Duschabfluss war verstopft.

Would not recommend Apt. - not safe area

When we arrived at the apartment (albeit 45 min early) the room had not been cleaned from the previous guests. Shortly after arriving the cleaning person showed up. Overall the apartment had a "tired" look. Our most important concern was the safety of the neighborhood. Our first night we experienced someone trying to break into the Apartment at 1:53AM. A person outside was forcefully trying to gain entrance multiple times - only after us screaming and turning the lights on did the person(s) leave. The experience frightened us. We also noticed prostitutes hanging out on this block both in the morning and at night. We immediately sent a message to the owners requesting to be moved to another apartment - and it took many hours until they responded - but would not physically move us - and by this time it was early afternoon. On the second night at 4am screaming in the alley - again we were frightened someone might try to break in - we placed our luggage and chairs up against the door. Outside the alley smelled awful. While the apartment looked charming in the picture, the location was very bad. Because of this experience I will not use VRBO again.

Fijn verblijf gehad

Ik heb genoten van het verblijf. Leuk verblijf en gezellige omgeving met leuke restaurantjes en barretjes. De accommodatie kan schoner. Er lagen nog wat gebruiksspullen van de vorige bezoekers en de straat kan ‘s avonds wat gehorig zijn door buurtbewoners.

An iffy neighborhood and it’s a former storefront not an apartment

When I arrived and even though I’d watched the video there were two doors listed as 16, whereas the door to the apartment itself does not have a street number. I called the office and was walked through it. I also was told that someone would call me back the next day when I couldn’t find things like towels. Via email a call had been arranged and the person did not call when I was told they would. We played this game for two days and the person just never called back. I gave up. The description of the place has changed since I rented it and it is important to know that the street is quite deserted at night (most of the storefronts are associated with the clothing trade or are offices). I can only imagine how impossible this place would be in the summer. The windows do not open. It was quite cold as the heater is more like a space heater. The biggest plus was the shower. Plenty of hot water, scalding even, and great water pressure. Big negative notes: there was no coffee pot of any kind only an electric water heater. It is also not rented by the owner but by a company that neither knows nor cares about the specifics of the property.

I wouldn't come back again...

Pro’s The apartment is in a good location, very close to the subway, it is well furnished, well equipped and clean. Very clear instructions for self-checkin and out, good wifi and smart TV available. You can cook by yourself, if you want, since the kitchen is large and functional for two guests. Con’s What I didn't like at all is that it's probably a repurposed shop, as it opens directly onto the sidewalk and you can't realize it from the ad, at least I didn't. There are no windows, except the entrance door, so if you want a change of air, you are exposed to the view of people outside and there is also the risk that some unwelcome animals may enter the house. The blanket is not double, it is single in a double duvet cover Honestly, for the price paid (around 200 € / night) I expected more.
