“Abbiamo pernottato in due nei primi giorni di luglio.Una struttura interessante, con un discreto parco, un'antica pianta di Tasso e svariati splendidi pavoni che si aggirano liberi lanciando sonori richiami fin dalle prime luci dell'alba e anche se un po` si salva la parte "di facciata" è decisamente poco curato. “I received a free upgrade to one of the Lodges so don't actually know about Davy Cottage.
However, the lodge called Owls Nest was lovely. Spacious, well equipped, clean and really comfortable. The view was great. Parking was directly outside.
The road is rather pot-holed (not unlike the rest of the country!) and I didn't like the black towels which left lint all over me, but that is really me being finicky!
We ate in the restaurant one evening which was very good.
The peacocks were amusing,...

“The picture advertised was not what was offered. The cleanliness was shocking, stains on duvets, towels, bed sheets and pillows - think bad and disgusting and you aren’t even close. Had 3 nights booked, left on day one. Poor health and safety with cables trailing across floors, screws in the carpet and a lighter found under a bed (I was with 4 kids, shocking).
Now. The park itself is nice and the properties there independently owned and operated - some looked lovely, we just got a poor...
