Cottage a Partridge

“The pool was muddy and the hot tub was broken. We requested a room with a bathtub and they could not accommodate that either. Staff was very rude and we decided to leave after the first night. We had no help from Expedia and Expedia would not credit me or give me a refund for the three nights we did not stay there. The accommodations were completely unacceptable for my fiance and I so we had to leave after the first night. Neither the hotel staff or Expedia customer service did anything to help...

“The staff. 3 of the days I stayed, there was a woman who came out toward the end of breakfast and said thank you to everyone who stayed. Told travelers to have a safe trip, and told people staying she hoped they had an amazing day. It was very personal. I don't know if she was not there for the other days, I missed it because of being at breakfast at a different time or what.”

“I really wanted to leave a stellar review. Check in was reasonably easy. Didn't get a printed receipt, although would have liked to have had one. Rooms were clean, but smelled like heavy cologne. The door to my room looked as if someone had tried to pry it open, there was compression marks on the door jamb so bad I could see into the hallway with the door closed. On the door was a sign encouraging you to lock the deadbolt "for your safety". Mattress was thin, and pretty lumpy. Not a fan of that....
