The property is beautiful and truly feels private next to the river. My fly fisher husband loved it! Overall the house was nice but it felt like it was either in the middle of a remodel or not enough attention to basic details were met. Example: no curtains or some white see through, no water filter in frig or sink (suggest a brita filter), lots of dead bugs on window railings, dirty sponge in sink and dirty towels/linens in laundry, old applicances, only 2 tv’s worked though they were new and nice in every room (did not connect to WiFi or cable), no additional dawn dish soap, leaking laundry detergent I cleaned in the cabinet, nothing for dryer, the grounds are gorgeous around but the chairs and backyard didn’t seem kept up. My kids didn’t want to sit on any chairs or play games outside which was a missed opportunity. Basic attention to these things would go such a long way in this beautiful peaceful retreat. A welcome guide with where to find things and the check out process would have been helpful. That being said there were also a lot of things to offer such as a large cabinet of games, condiments in frig, awesome Blackstone bbq with all utensils, etc. Knowing upfront what to expect would have made all the difference. It’s very old meets new, some cool things and some not. We would fix this place up in two seconds if we owned it! Mgmt was nice, just know what you’re getting into before you arrive. We will prob come back!
