  • "Poggio Secondo" is a private historic villa built in 1700 and entirely renovated in 2012 in full respect of its history, original design and materials.
    It is a short drive away from Florence (25Km distance), located on the hills of the Tuscan countryside.
    The villa comes with a private 40.000sqm olive tree garden and a state-of-the-art swimming pool to relax.

A beautiful well equipped house in a great location. We had a lovely time cooling off and relaxing by the pool, which is a very good size for a private property. It was easy to get into cities like Florence and Rome and we also had nice days out in Poppi and at the Villa Travignoli vineyard tour. The only downside was the sleeping as we had some very hot nights (30 degrees) and struggled with the lack of AC. Maybe mosquito screens would be helpful so the windows can be left open at night? Other than this it was a brilliant place to stay for our party of 5 adults.

Canadian family in Tuscany

Great vacation property ! We enjoyed the peace and tranquility that this amazing property offered. Loved the location and the house was great for our family of 6. Kids loved playing around the huge property and the short walks into town each day.

The property was perfect for our group of 5. The house had everything we required and was set in a beautiful landscape. A most relaxing holiday setting that I would heartily recomend.

Tolle Lage - toller Pool !

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Haus und auf dem Gelände sehr genossen. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns der Pool und die Nähe zu Florenz. Ansprechpartner vor Ort waren verlässlich erreichbar.

Totale Entspannung in wunderschöner Umgebung

Ein tolles, sauberes Haus - genauso wie in der Beschreibung. Der Garten ist wunderschön angelegt mit einem wunderschönen Blick. Es hat alles gepasst und wir würden gerne wieder kommen.

Peaceful vacations

We had an amazing time staying at Marco and Adele’s home. We were welcomed by Lorenzo who gave us all the information needed. Lorenzo was available if we needed something. Even though Marco and Adele weren’t there physically, they made sure we had a nice stay with a gift ! We recommend this house for a quiet and peaceful holiday near Florence.

Das Haus war so wie in der Anzeige. Lage ist super. Sehr gut zum entspannen. Kein deutscher Sender im TV. Der Pool ist groß aber nicht beheizt. Immer wieder gerne.

Fantastic journey in the Tuscan area

Our family of 6 (4 adults - 2 teenagers) had a fantastic journey in this nice villa in the Tuscan hills, close to Florence (30 minutes drive by car). The villa is fully equipped, the garden is well maintained, the pool is extraordinary and the views are spectacular. Lucia and her family welcomed us at our arrival, and the communication went smoothly. The perfect location to visit the area, like Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Pisa and the sea side. I highly recommend this property.

A perfect family holiday in Tuscany!

What a slice of paradise Marco's house is, it is better than the photos and the perfect place to retreat to after exploring the Tuscan countryside. Mrs Lucia, her sister and daughter gave us an unforgettable evening teaching us how to make pasta...something the kids will never forget. The pool was a beautiful relief from the heat. Beds very comfortable. Marco a great communicator. We would definitely come back stay!

Beautiful property

Everything about this property was perfect. The location overlooked the valley, you could see the sunrises in the morning over the hills. The house keeper and her family were extremely helpful. The house was presented in a clean and tidy manner. Marco's communication was above and beyond and so was his brother, who orgamised the taxi to the aeroport. Perfect!

Wir haben die Zeit am Pool, in der Gegend und in diesem wunderbaren Haus alle sehr genossen! Es ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was man braucht und wir waren über das Vertrauen, dass uns von Marco und Adele entgegen gebracht wurde, indem wir die privaten Dinge benutzen durften, sehr beeindruckt! Exceeded expectations - excellent!!

The beautiful views of the hills outside our front door were breathtaking. We loved being nestled amongst the olive trees, fruit trees, flowers and acres of vineyards. The cherry trees were ripe for picking. The home was a perfect choice of vintage villa set with beautifully decorated rooms. Our granddaughter enjoyed her room with all the toys and games. The kitchen was well stocked and the highlight was Lucia’s lasagna meal. We can’t wait to make it at home. The pool became the ideal rest and comfort between days of sightseeing. The hammock and gazebo areas gave us a lovely way to unwind and capture the view. Marco and Adele went above and beyond in so many ways. They even provided a soccer ball for our granddaughter. Lucia and her family took excellent care of us and we enjoyed getting to know them. Excellent rating +++

Authentique Maison Toscane dans un lieu enchanteur

Nous venons de passer deux semaines en famille dans cette villa où tout contribue à la détente et au repos. La maison est fonctionnelle, elle dispose d'un équipement très complet et est décorée avec raffinement. L'extèrieur de la maison présente de nombreuses " bulles" de détente invitant au repos et à la dilettante L'hospitalité , le caractère attentionné de nos hôtes Marco et Adèle et la réactivité, dont ils ont fait preuve pour répondre à nos demandes ont largement contribué à la qualité de nos vacances. Je ne saurai terminé cette appréciation sans évoquer la beauté de la campagne environnante, composée d'oliviers centenaires et d'essences méditerranéennes. En conclusion, nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances à Pelago et recommandons vivement cette villa.

Mieux que sur les photos

Nous avons séjourné, en juillet 2015, dans ces lieux qui se trouvent à une vingtaine de kilomètres de Florence. C'est à dire suffisamment proche pour permettre la visite de la ville et de la Toscane, et en même temps au cœur de la campagne, offrant une dépaysement total. Comme précisé dans le titre, les lieux sont mieux que sur les photos. En tous cas, conformes au descriptif. Nous avons été très bien accueilli par Marco et Adele, qui , tout au long de notre séjour, ont été attentifs à son bon déroulement et ont fait en sorte que tout se passe bien, donnant conseils et adresses bien utiles ( ah... la boulangerie de Diacceto). La maison, récemment rénovée et décorée avec gout, était très agréable à vivre, avec nettoyage compris. propre et bien équipée. La piscine, avec vue sur la vallée et le village, a été très agréable, permettant de s'abstraire de toute chaleur en ces après midi pourtant très chaud de juillet 2015! Et puis quel plaisir de voir des jeunes cervidés et autres paons à quelques mètres de la maison Finalement le plus dur a été d'en repartir!

More than perfect!

We stayed at Marco´s house in July 2015 (7 people/1 dog) and were more than happy with the house, the garden and the pool area. Everything was very clean and more than well prepared for us. Marco and his lovely family made the holiday even better :) We have no complaints at all and recommend the house to everyone, who is looking for a quiet place to stay in Tuscany without neighbours, in a beautiful landscape and a stunning house (and Firenze/Florence is very close too!!). The house is exactly how you can see in the pictures - if not better. Marco, thank you for your hospitality. We will definitely come back :)

Echtes Juwel in traumhafte Toskana Lage

Die Villa liegt in Alleinlage an einem Hang mit Olivenbäumen. Wir haben dort eine Woche mit zwei Familien verbracht. Für 8 Personen wurde ein Aufstellbett benötigt. Der Pool war der Mittelpunkt des Geschehens und ein echtes Highlight mit Blick auf die historische Altstadt von Pelago. Der Blick ist wie ein Gemälde! Vor Ort kümmert sich eine nette Dame und das Haus, deren Töchter uns empfangen haben und uns alles notwendige erzählt haben. Wir wurden mit Wein und Geschenken empfangen und fühlten uns sofort willkommen! Haus, Lage, Umgebung und Vermieter sind nur zu empfehlen! Jederzeit wieder!!!

Entspannte Familienwoche

Wir haben unsere Familienwoche in Marcos Haus sehr genossen. Besonders gefallen hat uns die sehr persönliche Ausstattung und liebevolle Einrichtung, einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Die Croissants morgens zum Frühstück waren schnell und geholt (Fußweg zum coop und Markt (donnerstags) nur 10 Minuten). Der Pool war immer für eine Erfrischung oder den Tagesanfang gut. Im Garten Granatäpfel, Olivenbäume soweit das Auge reicht und Feigenbäume mit köstlichen Früchten zum Naschen. Aales in allem: Super!

Traumhafte Location!❤️

Ein wundervolles Urlaubsdomizil in traumhafter Lage. Eine Unterkunft die keine Wünsche offen lässt. Die Vermieter sind unwahrscheinlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Top Lage! Die florentinischen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind mit dem Auto gut und schnell erreichbar.
