“Hotel "vecchio stampo", ma letti molto comodi e stanza silenziosa, bagno molto piccolo e senza phon. Personale gentile. Abbiamo cenato lì e la vista sul fiume era eccezionale. Consigliato.”

“We found the B&B to be delightful and peaceful as well as convenient to the ferry. We could not have asked for a more pleasant and cordial host!!!”

“We enjoyed our stay very much. We enjoyed the conversations we had with our hosts, Esther and Ian, both of whom when out of their way to welcome us and help us. We especially enjoyed walking from the B&B to Threave Castle and exploring the nature preserve. We were traveling without a car and had no problem getting to the property by bus.”

“This is a lovely place to stay. The Cornmill is right down by the shore of the Cree estuary and Garlieston is a fabulous old village with the Harbour Inn providing good food (advisable to book, though, as our landlady kindly told us). Lovely walks, bike rides and places of historical interest in the vicinity. Katy at the Cornmill was kindness itself - her breakfasts are fantastic and if there's anything else you need, you only needed to ask. Hoping to go back, not least to take advantage of her...
