La Green Duck è semplicemente una casa facile in cui trovarsi. Alla fine di una strada privata, troverai la nostra incantevole casa sul lago con 1 camera da letto, con una veranda (divano letto estraibile in un letto matrimoniale per dormire extra), una cucina completa e una zona soggiorno con un piccolo bagno di lavoro ( solo doccia standup). La casa è dotata di lavatrice e asciugatrice! Ci piace tenere aperte tutte le finestre schermate per tutta l'estate e lasciare che la brezza mantenga fresca la casa, ma se ne hai bisogno, c'è aria condizionata nella camera da letto e nella sala da sole che raffredda l'intero posto. C'è WIFI funzionante, sistema DVD, canali TV Dish Network, ma salvalo per una giornata piovosa. Trascorrerai la maggior parte del tempo all'aperto sul ponte o giù sulla spiaggia e / o sul molo. Ci sono 2 kayak per l'uso e alcuni giubbotti di salvataggio extra. Un sacco di sedie a sdraio per sedersi o sdraiarsi al sole. Un ottimo posto per il birdwatching e la pesca direttamente dal molo! 2 pozzi antincendio in metallo (uno sulla spiaggia e uno in cortile) per quei falò a tarda notte! Questa proprietà è unica perché abbiamo sia l'alba sul lago che il tramonto sulle colline della Fox Run Winery! Un'ultima cosa: un treno affascinante e storico corre vicino alla casa. Il treno sembra non avere un orario prestabilito, ma sembra funzionare molto di rado. A volte non arrivano per giorni interi e altre volte passano fino a 3 volte in un giorno. Lo vediamo come parte del fascino del luogo: il treno procede lentamente e il conduttore emetterà persino un fischio per te se saluti al treno! Tutto sommato - questa è la casa perfetta per una vacanza tranquilla, piena - di pesca, nuoto, sdraio, lavoro sul tuo nuovo libro o semplicemente una romantica esperienza rurale! Ideale per 2 persone, ma può ospitare fino a 4 in tutto. Oh, e se diventa troppo tranquillo, il centro storico di Ginevra è a 15 minuti di auto. Lì puoi trovare negozi di articoli da regalo, un cinema, The Smith Opera House, negozi di alimentari e un parco sul lungolago.

*** Questo è un affitto tutto l'anno. Abbiamo trascorso qui l'inverno scorso e abbiamo fatto dei bei ricordi. Devo dire che il posto è meraviglioso durante tutte e quattro le stagioni. Chiediamo agli ospiti di NON usare la stufa a legna (per motivi di sicurezza). La casa è ben isolata. C'è il riscaldamento elettrico (termostato), così come alcuni riscaldatori di spazio di fascia alta molto avanzati per le aree che non si riscaldano. Se vuoi vedere alcune foto del luogo in inverno, chiedi e te le invierò per email.

A Beautiful, Relaxing Property

The host is very helpful, informative and promptly responds to emails. The house has everything you need and the setting is lovely with lots of different outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy the lake, the birds, the occasional train and wonderful hottub. It is close to excellent dining and plenty of great wineries. We look forward to a return visit!

Hands down, this was one my favorite VRBO stays of all time. The property was immaculately clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. We loved hanging out lakeside and watching the eagles and ospreys fish. The location is quiet and feels secluded, and yet restaurants, shopping, waterfalls, hiking, and (of course) wineries are just a short drive away. If I could give it six stars, I would!

Relaxing trip

Cabin was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The view from the living room was gorgeous. We enjoyed the lovely private dock and the view from the firepit. It was a serene setting.

Weekend Getaway

We had the best time at this adorable lake cottage. It was located near many restaurants and wineries and being on the lake was the star of the show. Only thing I would mention if you come here is to bring bug spray as the home is surrounded by trees so it was pretty buggy.

Amazing home, views, and location!

This cottage was the perfect stay. It had everything we needed and the most amazing views. The hot tub and fire pit were so relaxing. The location was great, close to so many wineries, restaurants, and Watkins Glen! We will definitely be back!

Amazing Spot

Had a great weekend trip to the finger lakes and the cottage was a big part of why. Awesome location, great views of Seneca lake from inside the house and off the private dock. Backyard was a pleasant spot to hang out with the hot tub and fire pit. Overall great experience and highly recommend staying here. Has everything you’re looking for in a clean comfortable interiors with great outdoor amenities.

The Green Duck

This little cabin is a game changer. If you're looking for a little piece of serenity, I would suggest you run and don't walk!! The cabin came equipped with all of the necessities and the lakeside views were just amazing. My husband and I left thoroughly refreshed. Highly recommend!!!

Cozy cottage in a fabulous location

We had a wonderful anniversary weekend at Jonny's lovely cottage. The location - right on Seneca Lake - was perfect for a glass of wine on the dock, bird watching, and relaxing with a book. The cottage was super clean, with everything we needed for the weekend. Jonny shared detailed info about the rental, which we really appreciated, and was fast to respond to emails. The hot tub, especially on a chilly night, is great fun. We'll be back!

Perfect place to celebrate our 40 years of marriage. Bonus, I am from Syracuse, but moved to Pittsburgh in 1972. Amazing little property. The bald eagle visit the one morning was unreal!!!

Fall weekend getaway

We stayed in the cabin Oct. 17-20 and everything was perfect! The area was beautiful, the cabin was at the end of a private drive with a beautiful lakefront view. We lucked out with an amazing 4 days of clear blue skies, mild temperatures and a full moon that we watched rise above the lake from the Adirondack chairs around the campfire. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the view of the lake. Every morning I went down to the dock to drink my coffee and watch the sunrise. It was absolutely gorgeous. Johnny was a wonderful host who gave us a lot of great suggestions. Our favorite was the winery across the street, Fox Run. We were lucky enough to book their last Food and Wine Event for the season that included a great tour of their vineyard where we got to meet their head winemaker who gave us an overview of how their grapes are harvested and made into their delicious wines- pro tip- look for Fox Run’s 2024 Reislings in 2025, they said that this harvest was the most perfect growing season they’ve ever had and it should be one of their best wines yet! This cabin was spectacular, it had everything we needed and was so close to everywhere we wanted to go! Thank you Johnny!

We have used VRBO a lot, and this was our best experience to date! This home is a gem - very clean and cozy, with beautiful views of the lake. Johnny, the owner, is very responsive and is an excellent communicator! Highly highly recommend this rental!💙

Serenity on Senaca

My husband and I were extremely thrilled with how perfect the cottage was. It was exactly what we hoped for when booking this property, from the location overlooking Lake Seneca; to the availability of a great fire pit but also an amazing charcoal grill; really sturdy outdoor furniture strategically placed so that the lake was always in view; to all the amenities inside the home, including very plush bath towels and a kitchen full of cooking supplies. There wasn't anything lacking to make our stay so welcoming and comfortable. We hope to return again and again.

Finger Lakes

Cozy lake cabin, with a great view and access to Seneca Lake. Perfect location to visit the Finger Lake region. This is a cabin, not a house, cozy but small. Perfect size for a couple or a family of 3-4 (easily fit two small children or 1 teenager). We did not cook this time around, but the kitchen was well equipped and there was an outdoor grill. The back deck, fire pit and dock were awesome. Plenty of comfortable outdoor furniture. Perfect location close to great wineries/vineyards and restaurants. Jonny's recommendations were spot on. Loved Smokin Pete's BBQ and Ports Cafe. Will be staying here again. Would highly recommend this location and property.

Great property, location, and host too!

My husband and I rented the cabin for our first visit to the Finger Lakes area had a great time. The cabin was nice and clean and exactly as described. The lakefront access is wonderful and we enjoyed watching the water and the eagles. We debated on the the West versus the East side of the lake and were very happy with the choice. The sun was so bright that I think facing the West would be tough until the sun actually sets. The owner has obviously put a lot of love into the cabin and we very much appreciated getting to experience their home. There is a train very near to the property and it was not a problem. It came by a few times. It went pretty slow and was short, so was not loud or disruptive at all. I wouldn't let the train deter you as most homes on the East side of Seneca Lake will be near this train. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would rent this cabin again.
