Ullswater is a mere 10 minute drive away where you can enjoy sailing, canoeing or just take a leisurely lunch trip, taking in the magnificent scenery. Right in the heart of the Lake District, a 20 minute drive will take you to the bustling market town of Keswick nestled between Skiddaw and beautiful Derwentwater. Stroll through the town with its many little shops, cafés and restaurants or take a gentle walk by the shores of Derwentwater. For a more relaxed day drive, head into the stunning Eden Valley with its lush green countryside and traditional market towns and villages like Appleby and Kirkby Stephen, and a must is a trip on the Settle to Carlisle railway line which runs through the Eden Valley. Pets are welcome and there is a pub ¾ mile away, and golf nearby.
