The open-plan layout features a cosy yet contemporary living area, with soft lighting, elegant furnishings, and a Samsung Smart TV. Large windows provide plenty of natural light and open out to a private ground-level patio with seating, the perfect spot to unwind with a morning coffee or evening glass of wine.
The compact kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, featuring top-quality Siemens appliances including a combination microwave and grill, induction hob, slimline dishwasher, boiling water tap, and integrated fridge-freezer. Along with cookware, utensils, and essentials for preparing simple meals with ease.
The bedroom is a restful retreat, complete with a super king-size bed and, pocket-sprung mattress. Shutter blinds offer both privacy and soft filtered light to suit your mood.
The en-suite bathroom is finished to a spa-like standard, featuring sleek Porcelanosa tiles, a rainfall shower, and a sculptural stone pedestal basin. Soft towels, luxury toiletries, and robes are all included for your comfort.

Parking is provided at the onsite car park which is just a short walk away. Electric car charging points and designated spaces available.

Arrival is from 4 PM with the reception available until 8PM, and departure on the morning of check out is 10 AM

The Neighborhood:
Follow in the footsteps of Wordsworth, take a walk discovering the beautiful fauna and flora the Lake District has to offer, take a relaxing ride on an Ullswater steamer and enjoy a picnic watching the world go by on the side of the lake. Discover the historical locations of Penrith castle or the Cumbria’s stone circles of Castlerigg. The Lake District is a playground for thrill seekers, from gorge walking, abseiling, white water tubing or the calmer kayaking or archery. Enjoy the pool, Jacuzzi or gym after a spending the day exploring the area.
Dine in the onsite restaurant Eden, in a choice of local gastro pubs, or dine alfresco with some locally sourced produce you have picked up from one of the many farm shops in the area.
Getting Around:
The nearest train station to Whitbarrow Village is Penrith North Lakes Railway Station, located approximately 10 miles to the northeast. This station is on the West Coast Main Line and is served by Avanti West Coast, TransPennine Express, and Northern services, offering connections to major cities like Glasgow, Edinburgh, and London.
Another nearby station is Oxenholme Lake District Railway Station, about 25 miles to the southeast, also on the West Coast Main Line. This station provides access to Kendal and other parts of the Lake District. For those exploring the central Lake District, Windermere Railway Station is another option. While farther away, it connects to popular destinations such as Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside.
From Penrith North Lakes Railway Station, the 105/D1 bus route offers services to Greystoke Village, passing through scenic rural locations.
While there is no direct bus route to Whitbarrow Village, taxis or other local transport options are available from the train stations to reach your destination. It's recommended to check bus timetables in advance, as services may operate at limited times, especially on weekends or public holidays.
Other Things to Note:
The suite cannot accommodate pets and is completely pet free!
Bookings can only be accepted from booking holders 18 years or above, the Retreat is not suitable for children. Guests have access to the self-catering private suite with access to the on-site facilities.
