  • !!!DA APRILE 2018 QUESTA UNITÀ HA UNA NUOVA PIASTRELLA IN LEGNO DI PORCELLANA INSTALLATA AL POSTO DEI TAPPETI CONSUMATI !!!
    Grandi tramonti e albe fenomenali sono una vista incredibile dal balcone privato di questo condominio. Non c'è nessun altro posto per godere appieno della bellezza della Costa Smeralda. Questo 1bdrm / 2ba ha un arredamento da spiaggia nitido con un divano letto queen-size e una sedia seduta per godersi le onde accattivanti sulle sabbie bianche zucchero. Puoi ospitare 6 persone! La camera da letto principale a tema safari presenta un letto king-size e un bagno privato con combinazione doccia / vasca. I letti a castello dai colori vivaci sono immersi nel corridoio, perfetti per i bambini. Il bagno per gli ospiti è dotato di cabina doccia e ampio spazio per gli oggetti di cura personale. Goditi una conversazione con amici e familiari mentre cucini deliziosi pasti nella cucina completamente attrezzata. La sala da pranzo ha un tavolo rotondo in vetro che può ospitare 4 e due sgabelli da bar al bancone. Il tempo lontano da casa sarà sicuramente pieno di ricordi meravigliosi. Trasformalo in un anno sabbatico!

Never wanted to leave!

We loved our stay here! Waking up each morning and watching the sunrise from the balcony, and ending each night listening to the waves was wonderful. Our 3 year old loved the bunk beds and being right on the beach. Only downside was that only 1 elevator worked, so occasionally there were long waits. But overall, would definitely stay here again!

Uncomfortable seating

The couch is the only place to sit and watch tv. We had to sit on bedroom pillows because the cushions were so uncomfortable. We still got backaches from sitting there. Will not rent this unit again.

The mirrors on the wall made it feel much bigger than it actually was. The mattress could be replaced. Seemed to be too soft and broken on one side. Loved that there was no carpet and the floors were easy to clean.

Off the beaten path

The condo was in decent shape, starting to show some signs of wear, but not bad. The building and grounds are very nice. Parking is very close. We LOVED the fact that it’s off the main drag, absolutely zero traffic. It’s in a residential area, not the highly commercialized main drag. Beach was clean and not too crowded. We tried to venture out for dinner on the first night, but after an hour to go 6 miles we gave up. Every restaurant towards Destin had over an hour wait. We realized there was a few restaurants and convenience stores right down the street. No reason to leave the area!! The most relaxed vacation we’ve had in years!!

Great location! Missing the touch of home

This condo is great! We enjoyed the location— 5-15 minutes from most anything!! The property was well maintained and the beach chairs were convenient and the layout was nice in the condo. One thing that felt odd was that it was a VRBO, but run like a hotel; starch sheets, and minimal supplies and checkout at 10am. We were asked to bring beach towels, TP, PT, and even salt and pepper. We book these kinds of places for the “home like” experience and I would say it was about half way there… to the owner/manager, I would say hold the bottle of shampoo and give me an extra roll of TP and a few more basic cleaning supplies. We did really appreciate having a vacuum in the condo! Lovely property, just wish the amenities were a bit more accommodating. Thank you!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our fifth visit to the Emerald Isle at Okaloosa Island. We normally stay in the building next door, but it is undergoing balcony remodeling. So, we decided to take a chance and stay at Pelican Isle this visit. The unit overall (309) was okay. However, attention needs to be made to cleanliness. The tile flooring and laminate flooring need to be scrubbed and cleaned. After walking around barefoot the first evening, my feet were black. The balcony sliding door track has mold and dirt and really needs to be addressed. The kitchen was stocked okay. A Keurig would have been nice. There was enough toilet paper so that was appreciated. There were also miniature bars of soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion and makeup remover pads. The unit is located just outside the elevator. It can become quite noisy at different times of the day and night. And people have a tendency to slam their doors. The staff at Pelican Isle are very friendly and helpful. And of course, the beach service was great as always. We love this location on the beach because of its beauty and watching the dolphins. We appreciate that there were units available to rent while Island Sands was being remodeled.

My stay July 2022

I would recommend unit 309. However, if you want to avoid restaurants and cook in, the unit is lacking in some pots, pans and glasses. But there is a huge pot for pasta. Storage space is limited too. I couldn’t put my big suitcase in the closet. I had to keep it in the corner of the bedroom all week. It got in the way. But the free parking and the fact that 2 chairs and 1 umbrella comes with the rental was a huge plus.
