“Breakfast was good, staff attentive and helpful. However, my room was serviced on my first night. I got back to the hotel and when entering my room, the bed hadn't been made, tea bags etc not replenished, bathroom not cleaned. I was most surprised as I haven't had this before.”

“A relaxing weekend, the room was clean and quiet, the staff were helpful and polite and the food good qulality. There was plenty of parking at the Hotel and in the town and made for a lovely weeken break.”

Without exception, the team of people running the accommodation and the adjacent pub and restaurant were friendly, efficient and committed to making our stay enjoyable. We had both breakfast and evening meal in the pub restaurant - the breakfasts were good, and the quality of the evening meals was far better than we expected from this type of establishment.”

“I have stayed in many hotels but this was one of the best. The staff were very friendly and accommodating the hotel rooms here large and nicely decorated. The gardens provided a perfect setting for a late evening drink and winding down after a busy day. Yes there are probably, better hotels out there but for our stay this was a 5 Star event.”

“Camera spaziosa, carina, dotata di diversi comfort (asse, ferro da stiro, asciugacapelli, bollitore, ecc) e con bagno grande. Posto auto all’esterno gratuito e pub (con cibo ottimo) sotto le camere ma che non disturba assolutamente la quiete. Non abbiamo consumato la colazione. Consigliato! ”

“The staff were fantastic both at the hotel and the diner. The room was great apart from technical issues with our television which staff tried to fix. But it kept breaking again , in the end we gave up as out of the 3 day stay here it worked for about 2 hrs on and off. We gave up and used a phone to watch the world cup! Not quite the same but staff did give us a complimentary breakfast on departure as an apology. Parking facilities great, tea and coffee in reception. The toiletries in the room...

“Fantastic stay in a beautiful village right on the edge of the Cotswold. The entire place was really lovely, including the staff - I actually booked for the wrong date but they quickly fixed everything and was able to adjust. Rooms was excellent, very comfortable and beautifully decorated, I also had dinner in the garden and the food was delicious. Added bonus that the village is where some of Downton Abbey scenes were filmed so that was fun!”

“Sauberes großes Zimmer im kleinen Häuschen Visavis dem Gasthof. Schönes Badezimmer. Abendessen sehr gut. Fangfrische Forelle aus dem Dorf! Frühstück englisch, Kaffee unbrauchbar. Aber Nespresso Kapselmaschine im Zimmer. Die Lage! Sind in der Früh um 8 zur Arlington zum Fotografieren (nicht mal 5 Mi uten zu Fuß) und hatten die für uns alleine!”
