CASALE SAN BENEDETTO: NATURA, SOLE, RELAX, SILENZIO, TRANQUILLITA', COMFORT, IGIENE, PULIZIA, SICUREZZA, CIBO, VINO, ARTE e ANTICHE TRADIZIONI. IDEALE PER FAMIGLIE, GRUPPI DI AMICI, SMARTWORKING.
Il Casale San Benedetto è immerso tra le dolci e verdi colline umbre in una condizione di totale pace e tranquillità ma allo stesso tempo si trova a pochi km dai principali servizi e dalla superstrada con la quale si possono raggiungere le principali città storiche e i più bei paesaggi naturali della regione. Dista circa 16 km da Perugia e circa 34 km da Assisi. Gode di una vista panoramica su un'incontaminata vallata dominata dal borgo di Civitella Benazzone e di una vegetazione lussureggiante che insieme creano un'ambientazione molto suggestiva. L'atmosfera di tranquillità e silenzio che si respira è quella di altri tempi, il Casale San Benedetto è il posto perfetto per riposarsi, vivere le giornate con ritmi lenti e godere della natura, del sole, del cibo e del relax.
La struttura, costruita in pietra intorno al 1500 con ampliamenti del 1668 e del 1847, è stata ristruttura recentemente nel rispetto dell'architettura originale, è dotata di grandi spazi (circa 250 mq su due piani) e ampie finestre in legno naturale; anche gli armadi, i comodini e i tavoli sono stati realizzati da artigiani locali che lavorano il legno secondo lo stile e la tradizione umbri. Il casale si compone di 5 camere da letto tutte con zanzariere, aria condizionata e bagno privato all'interno della stanza (water, bidet, lavandino, doccia), vi sono poi un soggiorno con caminetto, una sala da pranzo con un grande tavolo, un'ampia cucina equipaggiata con grande frigorifero (276L frigo +114L congelatore), forno elettrico, piano cottura con 5 fornelli, bollitore, microonde, tostapane, moka caffè, macchina per caffè espresso e caffè americano, lavastoviglie. Internet wifi affidabile, ideale per smartworking, videoconferenze, videochiamate. Lavatrice, asciugatrice 8kg (per i gruppi fino a 4 persone). Esterni al casolare ci sono un pergolato con un grande tavolo per mangiare, un grande barbecue, un forno a legna per cuocere arrosti e pizza, una grande piscina 13 x 5 m con bordo a sfioro con vista sul borgo di Civitella Benazzone. Parcheggio privato all’interno della proprietà.

NEI DINTORNI: a pochi chilometri vi sono i servizi principali (bar, supermercato, farmacia, enoteca, macelleria, ristorante, bancomat), a circa 6 km si trova un tennis club con campi da tennis e da padel, a circa 20 km si trova un bellissimo campo da Golf ed un maneggio. Nel raggio di 100 km vi sono: aeroporto (16 km), Perugia (16 km), Umbertide (16 km), Montone (25 km), Assisi (34 km), Gubbio (38 km), Città di Castello (39 km), Orvieto (89 km), Spoleto (70 km), Bevagna (48 km), Montefalco (60 km), Todi (56 km), Spello (36 km), Deruta (30 km), Lago Trasimeno (38 km), Norcia (99 km), Sansepolcro (53 km), Cortona (55 km), Toscana (30 km), Val D'orcia (109 km), Firenze (165 km), Roma (180 km). Possibilità di trekking, escursioni a cavallo e noleggio di mountain bikes e bici elettriche.

ESPERIENZE: Proponiamo ai nostri ospiti diverse esperienze allo scopo di fargli scoprire e conoscere la cultura locale: Cena Umbra (la più richiesta) realizzata con prodotti alimentari locali a km zero, corso di pasta fatta in casa o corso di cucina, tour su misura a cantine e frantoi con degustazioni di vini e olio d'oliva umbri e scoperta dei fantastici borghi umbri, serata pizza, caccia al tartufo, servizi su richiesta come baby-sitter, autisti, guide turistiche, massaggi, istruttore di yoga, etc., chiedi per maggiori dettagli.

SOSTENIBILITA': teniamo molto alla sostenibilità, lavoriamo solo con aziende locali, prestiamo molta attenzione al riciclaggio dei rifiuti attraverso la raccolta differenziata degli stessi, abbiamo in programma nei prossimi anni di rendere la struttura indipendente energeticamente, al momento riusciamo a produrre acqua calda tramite pannello solare.

VACANZE IN SICUREZZA: Attuiamo tutte le procedure necessarie per la sicurezza dei nostri ospiti e della nostra. L'igiene è sempre stato uno dei nostri punti di forza, per le pulizie ci affidiamo ad una impresa di pulizie che lavora nel rispetto delle ultime normative di sicurezza e igiene che utilizza procedure e prodotti per la pulizia al fine di ottenere la massima igiene degli ambienti.

Super vacance, magnifique Casale

Nos vacances chez Matteo ont été très agréables. Casale San Benedetto est un super endroit soit pour la beauté du paysage et la sérénité de la maison, avec sa piscine et son patio, soit pour sa position très comfortable. On a adoré de pouvoir explorer facilement toute l'Ombrie car le Casale est situé vraiment au milieu de cette région magnifique. On retournera bientôt !

Lovely stay

Enjoyed a lovely stay! Very spacious and clean. Grounds are beautiful, flowers and vegetation. Pool was pristine! All the bedrooms with en-suite baths, perfect! Mateo assisted his Mother with a special dinner prepared just for us! In addition, we had a “master class” in pasta making at the villa! Plenty of room for a family or couples traveling together. Recommend without hesitation!

Wish we stayed longer!!

What a wonderful villa! It fit our extended family perfectly - and Matteo was a perfect host. The pool was amazing (for adults and kids!) and the vistas were breathtaking. Just perfect! We were able to cook dinner for ourselves in the kitchen and would highly recommend taking advantage of Matteo’s offer to cook a traditional Umbrian dinner. It was better than we could have imagined and he and his mother were just wonderful. Don’t think twice about staying here… just book it! :)

A perfect retreat - excellent villa in wonderful location.

Everything came together to make our stay with Matteo at Casale San Benedetto absolutely perfect. We wanted a villa that was close enough to an airport for friends to fly in to help celebrate my birthday but remote enough to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the Umbrian countryside. The villa met these needs precisely. It is extremely comfortable with 5 ensuite bedrooms, in a wonderful setting, and the views from the luxurious pool and villa terrace are magnificent. There are a number of Umbrian towns and villages in the vicinity to explore but the excellent villa pool always entices you back for an afternoon swim. Matteo is a fantastic host, extremely helpful and arranged for us a number of activities. The traditional Umbrian meal cooked by Matteo’s mum was a holiday highlight as was the pasta making class with Matteo and Alexandro. We also really enjoyed our day out with a driver visiting olive oil producers, wine makers, and typical Umbrian hill top towns. The perfect villa, in a wonderful setting with an exceptional host.

The farmhouse is amazing! It is charming with beautiful views. This house is centrally located to many Umbrian towns , wineries , and restaurants. Mateo arranged for dinner at the house , wine tours, and restaurant reservations. He was a great resource and more than happy to help us with whatever we needed.

Urlaub zwischen den Weinbergen

Super ausgestattetes Haus mit riesigem Pool. Der Vermieter ist äußerst engagiert den Aufenthalt perfekt zu machen. Die Lage ist ruhig, mit kaum Häusern innerhalb eines Kilometers. Die Zufahrt ist okay, etwas holprig. Das nächste Weingut für eine Weinprobe ist fußläufig erreichbar. Ein riesiger Supermarkt liegt 10 Autominuten entfernt. Alles in Allem ein super Urlaub.

Great home for a family vacation

We have friends who rented this property for a family vacation in 2019. Because they loved it so much we decided to rent it for our family. There were 6 adults and one child - my husband and me, our daughter and her husband and our other daughter, her husband and our 10 year old granddaughter. It was a great way to vacation together! The house is in the country about 20-30 minutes outside of Perugia in Umbria region of Italy. It was very hot for June when we were there but it was fine - in the morning we visited one of the many small towns in Umbria, had lunch out then spent the hot afternoons in the pool. We then would prepare dinner - generally pizza in the pizza oven - and eat on the covered back patio. In the night, if it was still warm, each bedroom had an a/c unit. We only needed to use it in 3 of the bedrooms. The other 2 bedrooms got a wonderful breeze. With 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms I highly recommend this for your family’s vacation. One of the bedrooms was downstairs, which was great for me since I have trouble going up stairs. The host, Matteo, was wonderful. He met us the day we checked in and helped arrange a wine and olive oil tasting day for us and give us tips on where to visit. And the highlight was a dinner his mother prepared for us.

Comfortable Retreat in a Convenient Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the beautiful Casale San Benedetto. The house is comfortable and well equipped and the location was perfect for our day trips to all the beautiful Umbrian towns and visits to Tuscany. We really enjoyed the pasta making class, the delicious Umbrian dinner and the tour of Montefalco. Matteo made every effort to ensure that we were comfortable and went above and beyond securing appointments for our COVID tests and helping with our rental car return. Highly recommend this spot for a restful retreat - enjoying the pool and the beautiful surroundings. Our many thanks to Matteo for his hospitality and to Mama for her cooking!

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus in sensationeller Lage mit top Vermieter *****

Wer auf der Suche nach einem gepflegten, ruhigen und abgelegenen Ferienhaus in Umbrien ist, der ist hier richtig. Das Haus hat in allen Punkten unsere Erwartungen übertroffen, extrem sauber und gepflegt, wunderschöner Pool abgerundet von einem äußerst sympathischen und freundlichen Vermieter, der jederzeit sofort zur Stelle war, wenn es etwas zu klären gab. Wer auf der Suche nach Stille und Natur ist, der ist hier richtig. In 20 Minuten ist man in Perugia, in max 10 Minuten beim nächsten Supermarkt. Für uns ideal, da es keine direkte Nachbarschsft gibt, können die Kinder sich nach belieben austoben.

Dream week in Matteo's house

We spent a dream week in Matteo's house. Everything was perfect: the location of the house - away from everything and at the same time close to all amenities, with a breathtaking view of the surrounding borgo, the pool - large and sunny all day, the extremely well kept garden and of course the house - recently renovated, very comfortable as each room has its own bathroom. Matteo was a great host too, he recommended great restaurants, took us to a high quality oil mill and organised a simply delicious Umbrian dinner at the house. My friends and I would totally recommend this house, rest, peace and pleasure guaranteed!

Wonderful authentic Umbrian country house

We had a great time in this beautifully restored country house with 6 adults and 4 children. The house is tastefully decorated and fully equipped. The pool is very clean and perfectly maintained and the views and lush gardens are just wonderful. We enjoyed the barbecue and the original Pizza oven. Matteo is the perfect host always there with inside recommendations. He has a great passion for hospitality and he ensures that his guests have a relaxing and inspiring Umbrian experience. Exceeded expectations

Neither the photos nor the description do justice to this house, which was more beautiful, peaceful and comfortable than we could have imagined. The view from the veranda offers rolling hills, vineyards, woods and an old village in the distance. The pool is a treat and surrounded by grit trees (the figs were delicious). The only sounds you hear are crickets, cicadas and the odd tractor. Inside, every room has its own bathroom so even large groups can have their privacy. The decor is simple and tasteful. The owner Marco, who has lots of local knowledge, is very helpful and available. We treated ourselves to a special Umbrian dinner cooked by the owner’s mother, which was kindly adjusted to fit our dietary needs. It was one of the highlights of our trip. We used the house to explore the areas and reached Assisi, Perugia, Spello and Montefalco with ease, though a car is essential.

Wunderbare Woche in Umbrien / Wonderful week in Umbria

Wir haben diese Woche sehr kurzfristig gebucht, weil wir einfach mal dem ganzen Coronastress entfliehen mussten. Wir hatten mehrere Häuser angefragt, Matteo aber hat sich als erster gemeldet, war freundlich, verbindlich hatte nichts gegen unseren Hund einzuwenden und hatte - schon von den Bildern her - das schönste Haus. Die Wegbeschreibung von Matteo war sehr gut, wir hatten keine Mühe das Haus zu finden und wurden von ihm freundlich empfangen und durch das Haus geführt. Das Haus selbst ist ein absoluter Traum, ebenso wie der riesige Pool mit Überlauf und Blick ins Tal. Trotz der heißen Tage waren die Nächte angenehm kühl und erholsam was an der Klimaanlage und der Nachts eintretenden Abkühlung in den Hügeln um Resina lag. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das bei Matteo gebuchte Kochevent. Matteo und seine Mutter haben eingekauft, kamen pünktlich um 18:30 Uhr und servierten uns mit viel Liebe und Herzlichkeit ein traumhaftes mehrgängiges umbrisches Menü. Als Matteo und seine Mutter gefahren sind, war die Küche aufgeräumt und unsere ganze Familie pappsatt... Weiterhin hatten wir einen Ausflug mit Matteo zu einer Olivenmühle und einem Weingut gebucht und auch dieser Tag war ein absolutes Highlight für unsere ganze Familie. Insgesamt eine traumhafte Woche! Wir sagen Danke Matteo und kommen im nächsten Jahr bestimmt wieder! / We booked this house at very short notice because we had to escape the whole corona stress. We had inquired about several houses, but Matteo was the first one who get in touch with us. He was very friendly, had nothing object to our dog and - indeed (not only) from the pictures the most beautiful house. The directions from Matteo were very good - we had no trouble finding the house - and were warmly welcomed from him. The house itself is an absolute dream as is the huge pool with overflow and view of the valley. Despite the hot days the nights were pleasantly cool and relaxing wich was due to the air conditioning and the cooling in the hills around Resina at night. Particularly I would like to mention the cooking event we booked with Matteo. He and his mother bought all the food, arrived on time at 6:30 pm and served us a wonderful multi-course Umbrian menu with love and warmth. When Matteo and his mother left us, the kitchen was tidy and me and my family were really full in a positive way. Also we booked a excursion with Matteo to a olive mill and a winery - another highlight for us. Thank you Matteo - we will come back!

Tranquil and idyllic Italian getaway

Our family had such a wonderful experience staying in Matteo’s Villa. The villa itself has a true Italian rustic style feel with the modern touch of air con in the bedrooms. We used the outdoor pizza oven and BBQ area a lot and the herbs in the garden. It has breathtaking views and a gorgeous Infinity pool. Matteo was such a fantastic host, he and his father even built a fence around the pool just for us for our 2.5 year old daughter because I was worried about her safety. He took us on a tour of Perugia and his Mom cooked us a traditional Umbrian dinner which was one of our highlights of our stay. He was so kind and responded to any watsapp questions promptly. The location is excellent, there are plenty of walks around the area with stunning views of vineyards and rolling Umbrian hills yet only a 20 min drive to Perugia and 30 min drive to Assisi. The supermarket and butcher is only 15min drive and Matteo has recommendations of restaurants etc in the house book. We felt very relaxed at the end of our stay and would recommend staying here if you’re looking for that rustic charm!

Incredible Umbrian experience

This large, magnificent 500-600 year-old house has been lovingly restored. It is very clean and has 5-6 bedrooms each with its own bathroom. Nestled in the Umbrian hills, the house overlooks a pastoral valley of fields and forests of oak and olives. Bells from the distant hilltop church across the valley chime on the hour. The view is amazing and so is the pool. The owner, Matteo, is super-friendly and down-to-earth. He genuinely wants guests to have a great experience in Umbria. He arranged a wine and olive-tasting self-tour in the region for us. He generously showed us around Perugia and took us for a tour of the fascinating Collegio del Cambio museum, where the Master of Raphael, 'Perugino' painted some marvellous frescos. Also, he offers an Umbrian supper experience - his mother came and cooked us an incredible multi-course traditional supper, which was lots of fun and highly recommended. All-in-all, the house is comfortable, beautiful and in a magnificent location (for us: countryside and quiet). Matteo is a genuinely nice person, friendly and generous with his time. We had a great stay and I highly recommend staying here.

Umbrian Bliss

Rather than a normal review I think a pro/con list will be more helpful. In short, this Villa was paradise. There was 7 of us (3 couples/1 single) who are all 40, life long friends, looking to explore Umbria (which we did). The house could have easily fit many more. Pros 1) The villa is beautifully updated reserving the historical architecture with tasteful updates (villa was built in 1400's). It was even better than the pictures. Rooms were large and kitchen awesome. 2) The landscape far exceeds the pictures which we couldn't even properly capture with our cameras. The view is amazing coupled with the spectacular landscaping. Sitting on the patio eating dinner was one of our highlights. 3) Ever eat fruit right off the tree? Well, you can here!!! Not to mention the herb garden. 4) The pool is huge and gorgeous. We used it even more than we anticipated. 5) Despite temperatures in the high 90's, the house stayed cool (because of the stone) and the rooms got as cold as you wanted them with AC in every bedroom. I like it cold at bed time and the AC units had no problem cooling it down. 6) The property is completely quiet with the birds and the insects being the only sounds. This despite being 5 mins drive from the highway for easy access to neighboring towns. 7) Within 10 mins there is an awesome supermarket, a butcher shop, fresh pasta shop, a quickie mart (great for morning cappuccino ). 8) Within 30 mins of two of the biggest Umbrian cities: Perugia and Assisi (Spello is also about 30 mins). 9) Matteo (owner) is amazing. He loves what he does and was so unbelievably helpful and responsive. There were days that at night time I would ask him for recommendations for wine tours the next day, and through his contacts he would set something up immediately. Not sure what we would have done without him. We were so thankful that he was there to help when needed, and he seemed so eager to do it. 10) Matteo and his mom made us dinner one night (something he offers upon request). It was def one of the highlights of the trip. Everything was amazing and plentyful! Cons 1) I really can't think of anything. However, I remember upon booking I thought the couches in the family room looked dated and they worried me about what else I was missing. Nothing else is missing. We never even sat on them. BOOK THIS VILLA, you won't regret it. Thank you Matteo!!
