“The hotel is close to the beach, bars and local restaurants, and a 7/11 store. The facilities are basic but the rooms are en suite, spacious and clean, with a TV, fridge, hairdryer and kettle although you’ll need to provide your own tea or coffee, sugar and milk. The hotel has a lovely outdoor pool, ample parking and a well stocked beer fridge in the reception which acts as the bar. “Samet Ville was a wonderful surprise for us as first-time visitors. It is a rustic setting with a private beach and a wonderfully warm bay inlet. The sand is soft and clean, and the villas range from rustic to modern. The staff was terrific, and the food options were plentiful. This setting is far down the island at Ao Wai, requiring a taxi or motorbikes to move about the island.
