Everything was great, but I was really disappointed that the coffee machine was not working and that everything at the little gift shop was super expensive. And they couldn’t make me a coffee so I accepted tea. It was fine but it would’ve been nice to have coffee in the lobby.
I also requested the night before to get a later check out for 2 PM and then at 12 the next day I was called by the front desk and housekeeping because the person who accepted my late check-in adjustment the night before never put a note in and never communicated to the dayshift workers that this was taking affect. It kind of made me feel like I was being affected. They let me stay for an extra hour because I work night shift that night and needed to sleep in and that’s the whole reason I stayed there in the first place, but I think the communication was severely lacking. It’s not the customer’s responsibility to relay that sorted information to other workers. How am I supposed to know that you didn’t communicate effectively or that it’s not in the system? I was out of there by 12:30 anyway because I was kind of irritated and once I was woken up, I couldn’t go back to sleep. I had a long drive home and I was kind of annoyed.
That being said everybody over there was so pleasant and so kind. I just wish that the communication was better. Also, the blonde woman who’s taking care of the bar needs more staff!! That woman was serving like 12 people completely on her own!! She’s phenomenal.
