Secret Cottage

My sister and I had a lovely stay at this unique little secret cottage. We enjoyed the serenity of its location. Hope to return again.

Some Issues but Good for a short stay

Myself and 5 of my family members stayed in this home for a couple nights to go to the Renaissance Festival. Overall a good stay, but could use some quality of life improvements.

Sweet A frame

This A frame in a gated community was quiet and felt secure and protected. The unique location is just a 2 mile bike ride to Usuary Mountain Park Trails. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Bring 2 dollars for the daily entrance fee.

Perfect. Everything was perfect. Took a week off for a stay in Orange Beach to have some fun in the sun. Our condo was awesome! It was super clean and felt comfortable to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean. Leslie was a very gracious host and helped us in every way. She is a true gem! We loved every second of our stay.

Overall good, but description is misleading

Easy check-in process, information was texted to me prior to arrival. Overall house was clean but was very surprised to find out that the 2nd bedroom with the twin trundle bed was outside up a very steep staircase entrance. We rented the house with the intention that our 2 kids would share that room but was uncomfortable with them being basically in a separate unit. We also were with an elderly adult that was not safe using the steps, so we really had to rearrange our sleeping arrangements. We use VRBO to stay together instead of hotel rooms, so it was disappointing to still be separated. It is a very dark location, and the upstairs outdoor light did not have lightbulbs so there was no outside lighting. The downstairs room is very small, barely fits the bed, so subsequently you are unable to open the closet door to use that space for clothes and there is no other area to open a suitcase, also no end tables either. The thermostat for the entire unit is also upstairs, so temp downstairs is hard to regulate. The downstairs coffee pot was not working upon arrival so luckily there was one upstairs to use, but no coffee cups available. Check out instructions require dishes to be washed, but no dish soap provided, only dishwasher pods, with no dishwasher. Beds were very comfortable and had nice linens and towels were great as well. The location is very quiet and has beautiful views. Overall, the unit accommodated our family but needs some adjusting.
