I made and fully prepaid my reservation through Expedia. When I arrived at the hotel, the front desk had difficulty locating my reservation. After some time, they found it but stated that it had not been paid, even though it was clearly prepaid through Expedia.
Despite showing confirmation, I was required to pay again in order to check in. I immediately contacted Expedia, and they confirmed that the stay had already been paid. Since then, Expedia has been trying to resolve the duplicate charge directly with the hotel.
Unfortunately, communication with the property has been extremely difficult. Management has been unavailable or unresponsive, which has delayed the resolution process.
After checking out, I noticed additional charges on my card that were not explained. I did not request extra services, did not consume minibar items, and did not cause any damages to the room. Despite this, extra charges appeared — including another charge days after I had already left the hotel.
I have stayed at many hotels and have never experienced multiple billing issues like this. The check-in process was already disorganized, and the billing situation has made the experience even more disappointing.
At this point, the matter remains unresolved. Expedia has been assisting and has confirmed payment on their side, but the hotel has not corrected the duplicate and additional charges.
I would recommend that future guests carefully review their billing statements if staying at this property.
