I stayed on a weeknight, so I was surprised to be placed in a room right next to the street when quieter options were likely available. Morning noise from traffic made it difficult to rest, which was disappointing.
When I asked the front desk if there was a way to charge my phone, the staff was somewhat dismissive. I was told to go to a nearby Circle K and was given no real assistance. When I asked if the room had a USB port, I was told I’d need to go elsewhere or purchase something. USB charging is a basic convenience nowadays, and it's surprising this wasn’t available. I ended up going to Walmart to buy a wall plug just to use my regular iPhone cord—which felt unnecessary & frustrating.
The room looked okay at first glance but was clearly rundown upon closer inspection. There were patched-up areas and a general lack of deep cleaning. The worst part was discovering urine in the toilet upon arrival, which made the experience feel unclean from the start.
I also asked the day before if I could have a later checkout since it was 10 a.m. & I’m used to 11 a.m. checkouts. I explained we had a reservation at noon, and the staff told me to text at 8 a.m. the next morning. I was ultimately granted a 30-minute extension, which I appreciated—but it felt unnecessarily complicated.
Overall, I left disappointed. I’ve had better experiences at more basic hotels for a lower price. This stay didn’t feel worth the cost and left a lot to be desired in terms of service and comfort.
