Ha soffitti a travi in tutto ed è arredato con gusto, offrendo una sistemazione molto confortevole per le coppie all'interno del terreno del proprietario. Stupenda per escursionisti e ciclisti (noleggio biciclette disponibile nella foresta di Dalby) con sentieri e mulatti a Newtondale, Cropton e Dalby Forest, e i Mori direttamente dalla porta. Situato ai margini di 'Heartbeat Country' con Goathland e Pickering a soli sei miglia di distanza mentre Whitby e Scarborough si trovano a mezz'ora di guida. Due pub servono pasti eccellenti 1 ½ miglia. Una buona selezione di negozi a Pickering 6 miglia.

    Solo due cani di piccola taglia. Nessun bambino sotto i 12 anni.

A quirky barn

This barn is amazing. Living room upstairs, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen down stairs. Decor is finished to a high standard. Tony and Jackie go above and beyond to make your stay extra comfortable X They left coffee,T Bags,sugar milk, wine, cake and doggie treats for us all to enjoy, plus some toiletries and all kitchen products you can imagine. Everything you need they have thought of. The bed and pillows are so comfy, you have a fantastic night sleep. Will definitely be on our list to return xx Jamie,Mandy and Harley X Do not hesitate to book you will not be disappointed xx xxx

A lovely homely and spotlessly clean cottage that is excellently located.

A lovely homely and spotlessly clean cottage that is excellently located. Jackie and Tony were really great hosts and were always on hand if we needed anything. We had a great week and it was really close to Dalby Forest which was perfect as I like mountain biking. You can cycle to the visitors centre in 10 minutes. It was in a delightful village and had 2 excellent pubs close by. The only two drawbacks for us were the lack of washing machine and the rather tight parking space provided (we had a small campervan). Jackie very kindly did wash some clothes for us but it would have been preferable to have a machine in the cottage. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again.

Just spent a week at Old Barn Cottage, we chose this cottage mainly on its great location for exploring the national park and the North Yorkshire coast and also the many glowing reviews. The property is really cosy and well equipped, hosts Tony and Jackie made us feel welcome and were a mine of useful local information.

The owners were very welcoming and helpful, it’s definitely a place we hope to return to, my only issue was the bed which didn’t help my back, but that’s just me.

Lovely, spotlessly clean cottage with a well equipped kitchen.

Lovely, spotlessly clean cottage with a well equipped kitchen. Quite a home from home! Jackie and Tony are friendly and helpful hosts and the 'welcome pack' of wine, cake, milk, tea and coffee was a nice touch. Comfortable bed (we like a firm mattress), but we found the sofa a bit too soft. Some lovely walks from the cottage door and Lockton is a pretty and peaceful village, just off the main road between Pickering and Whitby. It's only 10 minutes by car into Pickering for grocery shopping and there are two good pubs (owned by two brothers) within a few minutes drive, but I'm not sure I'd want to try walking to either of them. Lockton is a good central location for the coast and also conveniently close to the market towns of Malton and Pickering with their associated attractions. We visited Nunnington Hall near Helmsley and Burton Agnes Hall near Driffield and can recommend both. We had a lovely restful week and would certainly like to return.
