The exposed stonework and thoughtful country décor create a warm and inviting atmosphere. On the ground floor, step up into a cosy lounge with plush seating, an electric fire and TV – ideal for winding down after a day exploring the moors. Another step leads up to the well-equipped kitchen and dining area, where you’ll be greeted with home-baked treats and fresh farm eggs. Upstairs are two lovingly furnished bedrooms – one double and one single – and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Outside, you’ll find a private patio and large lawned garden with outdoor seating, garden games, and views over the paddock. There’s even a ping pong table in one of the stables for rainy day fun. For equestrian guests, grazing and stabling can be arranged with the owner, and there are excellent hacking trails right from the doorstep.

Levisham village is surrounded by sweeping countryside and moorland trails, it’s the perfect base for walkers, nature lovers, cyclists – and even horse riders, with livery available on-site. You are also only a 15-minute drive away from the bustling town of Pickering with an array of attractions. Step outside the cottage and you’re only moments from the heart of village life. The local pub, a firm favourite among residents and visitors alike, is just a few steps away. Dog-friendly and serving hearty, homecooked meals with outdoor seating for sunny days, it’s the social hub of Levisham and a warm welcome is always guaranteed.

The surrounding area is a haven for outdoor adventure, with Levisham Station on the famous North Yorkshire Moors Railway offering nostalgic steam train journeys through spectacular countryside.
