Nestled in the hollow of the verdant Doubs valley on the first mountainous foothills of the Jura massif, Pierre-de-Bresse has a soothing rural setting between full nature & fields of crops, alternating bocage plains, meadows, numerous ponds & rivers and vast wild forests, is home to the very famous "Ecomusée de la Bresse" (housed in a sumptuous 17th century castle listed as an MH), has many shops & services, and offers a very good level of sports & leisure facilities (building plan). fishing water with ecological leisure center classified as "Zone Natura 2000" for the richness of its fauna & flora / sports course & "Parkrun" in the superb park of the castle / "Agorespace": multipurpose playground for young and old etc. …).
