“Our room was excellent very quiet with lovely comfortable bed, nice bed linen, towels and plenty of tea&coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious. We ate evening meals at the hotel which were homemade and great quality and reasonable price. New owners have taken over hotel just over 2 mths ago and we found them to be very friendly, welcoming and hard working. “Lovely place with good facilities, older property so our room was spacious, bed comfortable and good bathroom. A little noisy for the dog as we were on the ground floor next to reception. Limited parking outside the property but able to park across the road overnight until 10:00 am. Overall lovely stay.”

“Wonderfully authentic Lakeland Inn.Our stay was peaceful with so many opportunities for walks straight from the door.Limited options available for dinner, would have appreciated more choices.cooked breakfast was very good but some yoghurt, fruit would have been welcome.Selection of beers at the bar was very good.The staff work extremely hard but we thought an extra member of staff would have helped to reduce waiting times at dinner and breakfast”

“The room was clean and the breakfast was good The only issue was the stairs to the room as our room was on the 3 floors there were a lot of stairs to climb and we both OAP which was very tiring. On the hold it was a good experience but we would not stay again due to the stairs.”
