A Berry Nice Hideaway/Strawberry, Az

UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP This cabin is a 3 bed 2 full bathroom with a walkout basement downstairs. We’ve turned the basement into a fun hangout area for the whole family, we’ve added wall heaters on top of the pellet burning stove for added warmth. The basement features a ping pong table, two full size video arcade games, bar, and tv area. We have 2 pack plays available, and a hidden bunk bed in the master closet, perfect for kids. (There is a fan, heater, and window in the master walk-in closet). Make memories at this unique and family-friendly place.

Great Getaway

We booked this cabin for two families, it was perfect. Exactly as described and the kids loved playing in the basement. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and plenty of room for everyone. We would definitely book again.

A wonderful summer getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin! The property was clean and just as described. They even leave snacks and dog treats and toys for your fur baby! The basement was so much fun with ping pong, shuffleboard, arcade games and karaoke! They also had several board games as well! The owners were very responsive and friendly. We loved watching the elk as they walked along the front yard. We thoroughly enjoyed our summer getaway from the Phoenix heat and hope to stay again in the future!

Great getaway in the pines!

Property was exactly as described. Tracie and Bill were great to work with and very responsive if we had any questions. They went above and beyond what normal VRBO owners do by putting out snacks/water to welcome us, also had a full coffee bar with everything you need. We would highly recommend staying at this cabin.

Restful getaway

Overall a really nice weekend with friends and family. We enjoyed sledding down the driveway and making snowmen! The host was friendly and easy to communicate with. We had an issue with some of the bedding that was dirty when we arrived, and the hosts reimbursed a portion of the cleaning fee. Something to keep in mind, for larger groups, the dining table in the house will only accommodate up to 4 people, even though the house can sleep well over 4! It won’t be a problem in the warmer months when you can eat outside because they have more outdoor eating areas.

Beautiful Place - A Few Suggestions

The cabin was beautiful and comfortable. The cabin look was perfect, the kitchen was great and the teenagers loved the basement! One issue we had was with the master toilet. It would flush sometimes and then stop working without warning. Also, I was very much looking forward to soaking in the tub with jets but the hot water did not last long enough to fill the tub. When I did fill it up the jets did not work.

Great Location

Property was at a great central spot for our stay. Plenty of room. We spent most of our time in the basement. Big TV and ping pong table were a great bonus!!

Strawberry Trip

The cabin is spacious, rooms are large enough and clean. Decent size property with closed in back yard which was nice our dogs could be off a leash and explore attended of course not sure of what critters they could come across. Kitchen table is pretty small for more than 4 people. Kitchen does have as indicated but what we did not notice on the listing they do not have a toaster so if that is important to you bring one, we improvised using the oven for our toast. If you are cooking a large meal bring large pans the pans are for smaller meals. Nice size kitchen to have several cooking or hanging out chatting. We were quite busy and did not use the basement but its a good size. Daily you could see Elk just hanging in the neighborhood so that was really cool, the property is not too far from little shops, gas station/convenience store and hiking.

Beautiful, cool and relaxing getaway

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful cabin. Felt like a home away from home. We also enjoyed the “game room” basement. We will definitely book this nice retreat again.

Great little spot in the woods

We enjoyed our extended weekend stay. The property was as advertised and had everything we needed. The table top gas fire was out of propane and the hosts kindly helped us get it refilled so we could enjoy a night around the fire.

False advertising. NO AC! Run don't walk! NOT very clean either.

False advertising of ADMENITIES. Beware no AIR CONDITIONING as advertised, several windows do not open, you have to remove a kitchen drawer to open dishwasher because drawer handle blocks dishwasher door. Living room light is not properly attached to ceiling. Backyard near garage has screws and nails in driveway dirt path. A large piece of tin roof laying in yard near garage dangerous for animal and kids. No play area for kids and dogs because it does not have proper fencing to keep dogs on property plus yard is over grown and not flat for children to play. Your view in from back porch is of the garage and you cannot see much else. Front porch has stair leading to it so not good for animals , elders or small children . The male neighbor across the street stands on his porch and stares and watches you. Basement not finished whatsoever with old unfinished cement floor and tons of crickets and other bugs coming from drain in floor. When we contacted property owner concerning AC she didn't even know if it had one. First she said yes then text back later and said she made a mistake and it DOES NOT HAVE AC. Not all the bedrooms have ceiling fans either. I could go on and on but too much bad to list. Very deceiving and disappointing for my family.

Great place with lots of wildlife

We loved our stay in Strawberry for a long weekend. The house was awesome. We were there with just 2 adults and a child, but the place could easy accommodate many more. There house had everything needed to make our stay with a child easy. We saw herds of elk on two occasions, once directly outside of the house! We also saw lots of birds, including woodpeckers right outside the window. So fun! If you visit Pine or Strawberry, make sure you go to the Old County Inn as well.

Amazing stay

We had an amazing time on our lil getaway. Super clean and spacious everything you need. Beautiful home well taken care of. Location was perfect everyone in town really nice and helpful. We will be booking again in the future.
