“We had a great time at FINCA el Refugio de Papito. The experience will stay with our family forever. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a Pura Vida experience. Whether it was fishing in the pond, seeing the sloths, macaws, iguanas, turtles or herons it was fantastic. Their offers of fresh coconut, plantains, and fresh cane juice were well received. “The home was exactly as pictured, beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and plenty of trees, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The hosts, Al, Ana, and Leo, were incredibly warm and welcoming throughout our stay. “Everything about this place is a little magical and Gloria was the best host in terms of communication and recommendations. Would highly recommend exploring La Paz waterfall gardens and getting to Poas to see the volcano up close that you can see from the house. Also, would highly recommend having Yadi handle any meals as they were delicious and delivered right to the house. Take the time to explore the property and take the trail to the river.
