  • Soggiornare al Palm Island Resort, situato sulla costa sud-occidentale del Golfo della Florida, è l'unico vero resort dell'isola. Non ci sono ponti o strade rialzate sull'isola, il che assicura un ambiente rilassante e tropicale. Il resort dell'isola comprende una porzione di due miglia di spiagge private e incontaminate nella parte settentrionale di Palm Island. This property was not what was on your site. Not one of the 5 pools was available. The villa inside was great, outside not good. Beach was beautiful

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our first visit to Palm Island was 25 years ago and we have been coming back ever since! The villas and grounds are well kept and clean. Everyone who works on Palm Island are helpful and friendly and allowed me to have the vacation we wanted to have. We love the quiet atmosphere and access to the beautiful, uncrowded beach. My husband loves the fishing and I enjoy searching for sharks teeth. It is the perfect place to just get away and relax!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We live 2 hours north in Safety Harbor so understand that the resort and all the amenities are still under reconstruction. Missed having a pool but was not a dealbreaker. If no water can be provided to wash your feet, a tub should be provided so you can fill it with water and at least clean the sand off your feet. Could also provide more dish towels, potholders and a broom and dust pan. We will definitely be back as we've been coming here for 35+ years!! Love Palm Island.

Good, but not the excellence expected for the price

Good things first--beautiful view from lanai, resort staff friendly and helpful, beautiful uncrowded beach with warm ocean water (February), nice pool and barbecues. Problems--whoever said the condo smelled "musty" was being charitable. The smell was overwhelming and required a couple days of airing out. Apparently the world loves hugely fat, fluffy pillows--we do not. The resort staff graciously brought us a few other pillows to choose from, but they were all fat enough to give us neck aches. The furniture was adequate but looked a little "tired". The kitchen was not well supplied. There was no remote for the DVD, so we couldn't enjoy disks we brought. The TV was cantankerous and difficult to use. While there were several lamps that could accommodate 3 way bulbs, none had them and nowhere was there really adequate reading light at night. All that said, we had a nice week. The two restaurants are fun and serve good food. Do plan to unwind and RELAX, because that's about all there is to do.

Loved the painting items on the deck that had been there for some time it looked like. Both nights the restaurant didn't have a menu item. Won't be back. Beautiful place for a nice resort.

It has the best beach and amenities. The only downfall is that things are really quiet really early. I'm no party animal but would enjoy using the pool or hot tub past dusk. Great for a group. This was our 2nd trip to the island, this rental had less as far as games, cards, etc. That might be nice to know so you can plan what to bring for entertainment.

The only negative which could not be controlled was the red tide which had everyone coughing and left dead fish on the beach. This was happening all down the west coast not just Palm Is. Just nature.

My girlfriend has been coming there for 10 years but this was my first time. She was slightly disappointed with our room, saying it was more outdated than some of the others she has stayed in not to mention the entire room along with the furniture smelled like cigerette smoke. Other than that the stay was fantastic. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.

It was the most relaxing week, the beach is beautiful, the sunsets are extraordinary, the resort staff makes your stay extremely comfortable. My husband and I stayed on Palm island for our anniversary and truly had the best week ever. We opted to rent bicycles instead of a golf cart and had a great time exploring the island! It is a beautiful resort....if you are looking for relaxation look no further this is the place!

Wonderful mid-September visit

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Palm Island for almost 25 years, but had never visited during September until this year. We were on the island for five days and it was wonderfully quiet and relaxing. The beach is never crowded, but during our stay we enjoyed having it almost completely to ourselves on weekdays. The weather was great, with only the expected amount of rain, and mostly gorgeous sunny days with highs in the eighties. The property we rented for this stay was up to the usual high standards we expect when we stay at Palm Island, and the staff were friendly and helpful, again, as always. We love visiting Palm Island and will be back again!

Relaxing Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were pleasantly surprised by our stay on Palm Island as we had never read or heard anything about it when we booked it for 2weeks. It was a beautiful, restful resort between Ft. Myers and Venice near Part Charlotte we enjoyed our beautiful condo, the shell-laden beach, the fitness center, and the activities that were available. Had a great time kayaking the mangrove trail with Kris who was very knowledgeable about the history, animals and the ecosystem of this true barrier island. We will be back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Palm Island is the perfect getaway! Everyone is so nice, welcoming and helpful. The resort property is beautiful, great activities available, beach unbeatable. Rum Bay Restaurant is consistently good, and very reasonably priced. We have been to Palm Island Resort multiple times and always have a wonderful time. The only reason we are not giving our stay this time all '5 stars' is that the 1-bedroom unit we were in is just 'worn out'. It is looking shabby, especially the bathroom. The wallpaper was peeling off the wall, the plates on the knobs of the sink, tub/shower all fell off, the sink faucet was almost impossible to pull up/on. The bathroom just has a very dated, worn out look to it. The bed mattress sags in the middle. The unit just 'needs a facelift'. That said, everything was certainly clean, but the shabbiness in the bathroom made it feel 'kinda gross'. We had a great time, despite these few things!! We highly recommend Palm Island Resort!!!
