Cocoonr is offering this charming 120 m² duplex for rent in Plainfaing, which can accommodate up to 10 guests.

The duplex is situated on the first floor of a former school that has been completely renovated into two self-catering holiday cottages (La Grande Récré and La Petite Récré).
It comprises a 40 m² living area, a fully fitted kitchen, three bedrooms and two shower rooms (with showers). Wi-Fi (fibre optic) and bed linen and towels are included – we’re just waiting for you!

The accommodation is laid out as follows:

On the first floor:
- A 40 m² living room with a TV, a sofa and a dining area
- A fitted open-plan kitchen featuring: a built-in fridge-freezer, electric kettle, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, coffee machine (filter and Senseo), hob…
- Bedroom 1: with a queen-size bed (160×200) and en-suite shower room
- Separate toilet

On the second floor:
- Bedroom 2: with a queen-size bed (160×200)
- Bedroom 3: with a 3-berth bunk bed (90×200 cm), including a pull-out bed, and another 3-berth bunk bed (140×200 cm and 90×200 cm).
- A shower room (with shower and wall-mounted nappy-changing table)
- Separate toilet
- Laundry area with washing machine and clothes horse

For even greater comfort, the owners provide the following additional equipment: raclette machine, high chair, cot (provided free of charge on request)

Outdoors:
- A shared courtyard with another holiday cottage, equipped with a barbecue and garden furniture.

The house is ideally located in Plainfaing, at the foot of the Hautes Vosges mountains, in very pleasant surroundings. In the centre of Plainfaing, you'll find all the shops you need, as well as restaurants, bars, a market, etc.

Close to Alsace and a stone's throw from Gérardmer, you can enjoy a wide range of activities:
- Christmas markets in winter
- Hiking, mountain biking and horse riding through forests, ridges and valleys.
- Three nearby ski areas: Domaines du Lac Blanc, La Bresse and La Schlucht
- Bike park, summer sledging, go-karting
- Confiserie des Hautes Vosges: fun tours with demonstrations and tastings

Transportation :
If you choose to come by car, you can park directly in the private car park outside the house (2 spaces).

As for other modes of transport, here is some information that may be useful to you:
- Nearest train station: Saint-Dié-des-Vosges station, approx. 21 km away
- Nearest airports: Strasbourg Entzheim (106 km away) or Basel Mulhouse (about 100 km away)

To ensure your stay is as pleasant and comfortable as possible, this accommodation is managed in partnership by the Cocoonr teams (ad management and reservations service) and a local concierge (concierge / housekeeping service).

Further notes:
- The owners also offer another holiday cottage – “La Petite Récré” – which can accommodate 5 people. The two holiday cottages can therefore be rented together, subject to availability, for a total capacity of 15 people. Please feel free to contact us directly for further information.
- Pets are welcome, subject to a supplement of €25 per stay (only one small pet permitted); please specify this when booking. Please also bring along the necessary items to clean up after your four-legged friends.
- End-of-stay cleaning includes preparing the accommodation for future guests. We would be grateful if you could leave it in a reasonably clean condition and clean any kitchen appliances after use.
- Bed linen and towels are included.
- A garage is available for you to store your bikes, luggage, roof boxes, etc.
- Any request for arrival or departure outside the specified times is subject to the availability of the reception staff. A flat-rate surcharge may apply.
