Loon Beach Lake House is on a quiet dead end road with private lake front

The colors of Autumn are closing the show and thoughts now turn to late Fall and the Holiday season. We invite you to leave the chaotic energy and enjoy peace of our heated vacation home on the lake. 60+ feet of private sandy beach accent this 1/4-acre treed lot. Sunrises and sunsets accent the views across the bay or across the lake as you listen for the call of the Loon amidst the cries of other migrating waterfowl.
This home is supplied with a shared dock, a canoe and paddles with life jackets for most sizes from infant to adult.
The grassy yard is equipped with Adirondack Chairs and a fire pit ready for hot dogs and marshmallows.
The house has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, an open kitchen area with extensive counter space, and a very large living room with ample seating in front of bay windows providing views of the lake. Out the front door is a large deck with patio furniture and a grill for outdoor meals.
For those hot muggy days, the living room has air conditioners and ceiling fans. Early mornings? The kitchen is equipped with a Keurig in addition to a microwave, toaster oven, range and refrigerator.
In addition to the bedrooms, there is a queen size sofa bed in the living room and inflatable mattress for additional sleeping arrangements.
House is located 5 miles to the city center for shopping convenience or evening entertainment. 2 miles to movie theater and bowling ally, convenience store and gas station. Don't feel like shopping? Home is within delivery zones with easy access to Instacart, Door Dash etc.
All you need to bring is you and your loved ones to enjoy this truly special place.

Lovely

We chose Loon Lake for our weekend in Plattsburgh primarily because it was close to our family reunion. Loon Lake offered us much more than convenience. The kitchen is well-stocked with coffee, utensils, pots and pans, and all manner of dishware and silverware. We availed ourselves of the dryer, sofa bed, beach towels, swimming (bring water shoes!), the canoe and life jackets. We would book again in a heartbeat. Perfect for our group and our laid-back vibe. We felt very at home in this place.

Our Second Stay... Can't Wait for Another!

We love this lake cottage. The neighbors are wonderful, the owners are attentive, and they have everything you need onsite for a wonderful visit. Kayaks, canoes, paddles, water safety gear and beach toys too! It's peaceful, beautiful, and perfect for our family of three. Highly recommend!

Perfect location, great stay

We had a great time at this lakefront property! Communication with both Don and Donna was excellent, the house was clean, the location was perfect for our purposes (a surprise mini-reunion for someone visiting nearby), etc. We loved everything - thanks!

House needed a good cleaning

Communication was wonderful with Don. It was our first Vrbo booking and he made check in a breeze. Fairly quick responses. When we arrived we spent at least 30 minutes cleaning goose poop all over the yard before our kids could play. The big yard pictured on the websight is the only yard so they had no play to play of it wasnt cleaned. . Then we had to clean all the small branches and leaves off the back deck so we could eat. The floors didnt look like they were mopped in a while and greese was splattered all over the stove. The house has a very strong musty smell. Theres a leak coming up through the floor by the sink. If you step there the wayer bubbles under your feet. We brought this to Donnas attention but she said she couldn't find a leak. There were vobwebs in the bathtub and fingerprints all over the bathroom mirror. The house is dated but we didnt mind that much. If the house was clean it would have been a winderful stay. Donna was very friendly and accommodateing. She brought over sand toys for the kids to play with and told us where to order groceries and food. Loacation is good. Just a short drive to a gas/minimarket.

Amazing view

We had an amazing stay, the house was clean, well stocked, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a week on the lake. It was close enough to stores but still secluded. Would definitely stay again!

Peaceful Stay

Nice house on the lake in a very quite, peaceful neighborhood. The large windows in the dinning and living room showcase the lake. It was a wonderful view and stay, the host was very quick to reply to question before and during our stay. We would stay here again.

Great little place by the lake

House itself is very private, which was perfect for us. House windows and backyard have a great view of the lake, but I'll allow the backyard has neighbors moderately close to either side, also with their own backyard sitting areas. Wasn't a problem for us as we seemed to have the lakefront mostly to ourselves. Shoreline unfortunately did not seem terribly walkable, being rocky, kind of muddy, and sectioned off into what seemed private areas. There might be walkable areas, but we did not think to ask. Overall, I think the listing very accurate, and Don's place is to be much recommended.

Very good property and has beautiful beach. Property is very clean and has good space. Lighting outside the property is little less during night time which makes it little harder to find the property while checking in and harder if it’s raining. Otherwise it is a great property and I would definitely look forward to stay here whenever next time I would visit here.

ON THE LAKE

Our stay was great...some windy days,that's mother nature. Cabin in nice location,facing north. Don was very timely about answering any questions we had during our stay. He reached out to check on us half way thru our stay,nice. Got to meet Don,unplanned,its good to have a face with words......Don-thx for all.

An amazing slice of heaven on Lake Champlain

I couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The owners are wonderful and the property was exactly as we expected. It’s located on a quiet road and since it’s in a bay, the water is calm. Lots of ducks and loons to spot. Great little beach. The house was perfectly equipped with all the little things you never remember to pack. I would definitely rent again and hope to in the near future.

Such a beautiful view

Loved this property and hope to stay every time we come over to Plattsburgh. Worked well with boat parking and with the kids. Don was awesome to work with and I would highly recommend this property
