“Lovely hotel with stunning views. Tiny outdoor pool area and uncomfortable chairs on the veranda and bedroom terrace but the view made up for everything. The food was excellent (very large portions!) ”
“Uma longa, bem conservada e sinuosa estrada, a beira de um abismo de beleza, e chegamos mais perto de Deus. Lá no alto fica este hotel charmoso para quem gosta de enfrentar o frio num local caloroso e atendimento especial.”
“Hemos estado muy a gusto. Destacaría la limpieza y la atención al detalle. La ubicación, las vistas y el entorno son ideales. Manteigas es un pueblo encantador en un paisaje privilegiado.
El hotel es pequeño y recogido. Los desayunos son muy completos y se sirven a partir de las 8 de la mañana. Me hubiera gustado que se sirviera desde más temprano.
La piscina es preciosa y está muy cuidada.

“Rien à dire, c’était excellent de A à Z ! Petit déjeuner vraiment bon, l’un des meilleurs qu’on a eu, emplacement au calme et dans la nature, être au cœur de la nature depuis la piscine c’est vraiment excellent. Seul point negatif en été, la climatisation qui a du mal à se régler et qui souffle trop vers le lit donc inconfortable pour dormir, si vous y séjournez en été je vous conseille de la mettre à fond pour rafraîchir la pièce puis avant de se coucher il faut la régler à 25 voire 26 degrés...

“Very helpful staff, Excellent area to explore. Nice touch having a fridge in the room, the best breakfast, of all the hotels, whilst staying in Portugal. Comfy bed, good size room.

“Wir hatten eine super schöne und erholsame Zeit im TheVagar. Wir haben neben einem sehr guten Frühstück, welches man sich am Tag zu vor immer neu zusammenstellt, auch das Abendessen sehr genossen. Wer einfach ein paar Tage abschalten will ist hier genau richtig. Hottub, Pool, Lagerfeuer am Abend, Massage alles was das Herz begehrt. Wir haben sogar noch spontan verlängert und eines der Shelters gebucht, die ebenfalls auf dem Gelände sind. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch.”

“Location is perfectly situated in peaceful surroundings yet short drive into town, absolutely beautifully decorated inside and outside, family owned by wonderful people who made us feel more like family than renting guests, breakfast served to your table with homemade honey, marmalades, and meats/regional cheese, and fresh bread! Our room was comfortable and had a nice view of the mountain…a/c worked quietly and efficiently. Bathroom small but shower had hot water and ample room to place...
