“The property is rustic and quiet, with beautiful trees to shade the private porch. The listing was exactly as pictured and described, and thoughtfully appointed. Communication with the host was prompt and the directions provided were easy to follow. The house is in a rural location with the tiny coastal town of Elk about 10 minutes away. We just stayed two nights and if I find myself in the area again, I would absolutely return to this spot.”

“The photos do NOT do it justice. It is an art gallery with fantastic furnishings. Perfect to relax in and with a large desk to work at. Did I mention a fully stocked kitchebn and laundry room. “I wanted to visit Mendocino with my partner, I planned a surprise weekend getaway and I found this gem! It’s just outside of Mendocino so all the trails were only 10-15 minutes away. The property was the perfect size. It was cozy and clean and exactly what I was looking for. Ann was the sweetest! She made us feel at home, offered to use her larger kitchen for some steaks I wanted to cook the first night. There was a small fridge and freezer that was perfect for the snacks and wine we brought...

“Queen's Loft was a nice surprise! I expected a small second-story loft, but it was quite large with a kitchenette, nice roomy bathroom, dining area, living area and 2 king beds (and 2 twin bed that we didn't use), and lots of windows that we opened at night to let the cool, piney-scented air in. What I loved the most was how quiet it was there. Going to sleep breathing piney-scented cool air in complete silence was wonderful....best rest I've had in a long time!”

“It was our first stay in a lighthouse keeper's inn. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. There was ample light entering the room from both the north and south sides. We stayed for two nights and the kitchen had ample utensils and plates to cook food from scratch and/or warm prepared food.The only thing that we would have had liked would be more rugs on the floor and more mats in the bathroom.
