  • Escape to this beautiful, well-appointed home on Thompson Lake in Poland - where comfort and adventure await! This spacious retreat features 3 bedrooms, a cozy loft, and 2 bathrooms, blending a comfortable, rustic interior with modern touches. The open-concept living area provides plenty of space for everyone to gather, making it perfect for family getaways.

    Enjoy the breathtaking sunset views from the comforts of the deck or around the lakeside fire pit. Take advantage of easy water access with a sandy entry and gentle slope, ideal for swimming. Spend your days exploring the lake with the 1 canoe and 2 kayaks provided, or bring your boat — the dock and mooring can accommodate up to a 24' boat, giving you access to 12 miles of pristine waterway known for its excellent water quality and fishing. When you're ready for a change of pace, take a short drive to Oxford or the Lewiston/Auburn area for shopping, dining, and local activities.

    The home comfortably sleeps 9 guests for the week, with an option to host 2 additional guests for a maximum of 2 nights. Bring the whole crew and experience everything this incredible lakefront property has to offer!

The Dock Makes The House

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was our second year renting here. It's pricey, but the dock alone softens the financial impact with the beautiful sunsets, a large space for our family to gather, and a private location. The house does not offer a lot inside for the price. It's a strange layout in some ways, with not a lot of comforts (had to go to Walmart the first night to get blankets!), but it's a great location and we had a wonderful time. I will say, the basement where the washer dryer area is treacherous to get to, and probably should be inaccessible to guests. But we love Thompson Lake, and finding places where our family can all be together is not easy to do.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall a beautiful spot on the lake with full sun most of the day and lovely sunsets. The house was comfortable. Could use a few better pans for cooking. New grill which was great.

Disappointed Stay at Beautiful Location

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was 2nd year at property. Location cannot be beat. House itself not well maintained and not prepared for guest arrival! Some examples include firepit overflowing/unusable, beach area buried leaves/debris/dead fish/overwhelming smell, mold smell front bedroom especially, boats old/unused/not ones pictured, kitchen sink barely trickle, kitchen cabinet hanging with loose screws, exposed wire upstairs bathroom, bathroom door handle loose,only 2 fans/one not always working, old deck furniture, rot on dock. Some of this was present last year and we did discuss post stay. Location is lovely so we decided to try one more time. Found property itself in worse shape. We love this lake and location, would not rent this house again for the very high, luxury rental price they are charging.
