“Staff were friendly, room is very outdated and had a strange smell. Beds were average, shower was good. Breakfast in the morning wasn’t fantastic, we paid £120 for one night stay with breakfast but not sure it’s quite worth that to be honest. Wouldn’t stay here again.”

“The staff were all exceptionally friendly and very helpful…. We went ‘off piste’ re the breakfast menu and this was not only accommodated with ease, but wonderfully cooked too. Bravo the chef 😘. The bed was comfy and spacious. The showers, hot and powerful. The only downside was that the room was slightly chilly and the plug in radiator did not work enough to warm it up….. “The hotel was exactly as described in photos. Clean, classy and very good value for money. We couldn’t hear any guests within property. Shower was powerful and nice and bathroom was clean. Bed comfortable, duvet thick but airy which was the perfect combo. Outside space from the room was well presents and clean. No bad smell and easy check in. Only thing I would critique is we couldn’t open window wide enough for our personal choice and could do with curtains as well blinds as that morning sun...

“Perfect location! Can't beat it - such a pretty place. On our check in, there was live music so couldn't even get into the pub to check in. Given the rooms are upstairs, an early night was not on the cards. Breakfast was good. ”

“Staff in the restaurant/spa bar/spa were really helpful and pleasant. The indoor pool was great. Sadly we didn't get to use the outdoor pool as it rained but it did look very nice. View from our room was lovely too. We booked breakfast on one day but found it too much after dinner the previous night. We ate at taste of Cornwall one night. The food was very good but the room was very dark and the music stopped a couple of times and nobody around to turn it back on, so lacked a nice ambience.”

“Loved this hotel. We stayed in one of the self catering lodges which was great. Lodge was spacious and had everythigg no we needed travelling with young children. We used the hotel swimming pool and explored the grounds. Great location, easy to park and charge EV and in an excellent location for what we wanted. Staff helped with any query we had. The only thing I’d love to see was a few more condements in the lodge, what would be available if we stayed in the hotel. Will definitely stay again”

“it was the worst experience in my life. I am not scared of the atmosphere of living plant and animal nature, I love it. but when there is dirt and terrible chaos around, garbage is lying around the territory and you are met by a man in terrible dirty clothes… I felt dangerous and wanted to run away. the road to the hotel is terrible and has one-way traffic. swamp and darkness. I have no idea what to do if someone comes the other way. feeling unsafe and dirty. we said that we did not want to stay...

“Hot tub was nice. Handy to have the flipflops. Quiet. Enough room facilities. Bed comfort nice. Parking great. Easy 2min walk to pubs/food. Preferred the feathers pub next door and breakfast at the old police station. ”
