“Room was clean and comfortable. Loved the clean bathroom. Great shower with never ending hot water.The oversized mini refrigerator was great to have keep my bag of ice for 2 day as I we used it in our cooler during the day and refreshed it in the freezer when we returned. Kept food & drinks chilled. Hot coffee pot was well used for making hot coffee and tea.Room could use a few more hooks to hand clothes and towel bars. Bed was too soft. Would prefer a firmer mattress”

“Host was very responsive and the location was perfect! Being able to access Mama’s fish house from the beach was a special little perk! There was also laundry which was great for us after traveling for a week. Great stop if you are headed out on the road to Hāna! Heads up there’s no A/C”

“The room was a superb find. Is not a new room; however is very comfortable, clean, spacious, close to everything and with lots of amenities. Its location is right in the middle of Downtown Historic Hilo. Close to the bus terminal which can take you the Volcanos Park and other locations of Hilo. “This is an out-of-the-way gem (but easy to get to). Clean, and close to shore to hear waves crashing. Host was superb! Unit was smaller than expectation. Hard to use luggage rack and move around. Not so certainly about "see whales and dolphins" - but maybe it was wrong time of year. Checking and communication with host was great (5/5)!”

“We had a wonderful stay at Studio Kohala Big Island Ocean View! The space was comfortable, peaceful, and offered beautiful views. Loved listening to the wind at night! The hosts were thoughtful and welcoming, and they even provided yogurt and fresh fruit for us in the morning, which was such a nice touch. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. “This property was perfect for my family. Not only was the house spacious, but the back yard was also huge. My children enjoyed playing in the yard, watching the stream at the edge of the yard, and visiting the neighbor's horse! Having access to the laundry was very helpful for us. We had everything that we needed in the house. Everything was clean. Communicating with our host was easy. Check-in directions were easy to follow.”

“Very cool property, outdated with water damage. For the price I would expect pool to be free from bees and worms. Hard to see tv due too left side screen being dark, and have some packets of cream and sugar for the great coffee you have. Overall, good.”

“This property was off the beaten path of a small town that has very little to offer for travelers and we were told by locals the town was unsafe. This property had great people working at the security gate. Check in was difficult and not in line with the information given to us by the host. We were told to go to the office between 9-5 to get a parking permit but security indicated a paperwork authorization was not yet received by the host. Our check in was at 4 so we had to come back and wait...
