For motor racing enthusiasts, the Red Bull Ring is only 25Kms away. The circuit although only re-opened in 2011 as the Red Bull Ring, has a long history holding major events such as Formula 1, was formerly known as the A1 Ring and before that the famous Österreichring. The climate in Austria is widely continental with the Eastern edge of the country stretching into the Pannonian climate zone.
