Relax and unwind in the heart of Tuscany: our two bedroom farmhouse combines the rustic charm for which this region is so loved with modern amenities to make your stay comfortable and hassle-free.

Situated only five minutes from the renowned village of Rufina, famous for its Chianti Rufina wines, and a short half hour's train ride from the beating heart of Florence, our farmhouse is a labour of love by my husband Salvatore, a builder, decorator and cook. (A "Renaissance man", if you will - he's in good historic company in this part of Italy!) Originally this building was a barn with pig sty - now the kitchen!

The ground floor features a spacious fully equipped modern kitchen with spectacular views over the countryside. Unwind in the evening with a glass of wine or kickstart your morning with a Moka coffee in your private garden just in front of the kitchen. Enjoy the view over the valley with the. world-renowned Frescobaldi Nipozzano vineyards across the way.

A light-filled sitting room, complete with a fireplace, beckons you to open up a good book or uncork a bottle of local wine with your loved ones. A small wash room on the ground floor means no traipsing up and down stairs when the conversation gets good.

Privacy is still paramount, however: the farmhouse comfortably accommodates a family or two couples thanks to its two double bedrooms upstairs (an additional single bed is available upon request). Each bedroom boasts a luxurious and modern en-suite bathroom, both. with shower and one with a bathtub.

Spend. time relaxing in the garden, by the pool, or culturally exploring, whatever inspires you most: there's no shortage of local attractions and activities any time of the year.

For shopping check out The Mall at Leccio, or Barberino Outlet. For motorbike enthusiasts we are close to the world famous Moto GP Mugello Circuit at Scarperia.

My husband has built a traditional wood pizza oven as well as a barbeque in the garden. Please note it takes THREE hours to light and get the pizza oven to the right temperature! My husband and 4 sons are all wonderful cooks (one is currently head chef in Florence at Nugolo). So if you don't feel like cooking we can prepare you a delicious typical Tuscan meal. Or if you want to try your hand at making fresh pasta or pizza - (good fun for children!) we can also offer on-site cooking lessons. Menus and price on request.
Help yourselves to fresh vegetables and fruit from our garden, or go visit our chickens and collect some fresh eggs. We also have three lovely donkeys, they love carrots!
We have a cleaning lady who can come during the week, if you need her. If you book for more than one week we also include a mid-stay change of bed linen and cleaning.

We have friendly Italian neighbours so we are not isolated but also we have our privacy. The village of Rufina (famous for it's wine) is just 5 minutes by car. Nearby we can arrange ceramic painting , cookery classes and if you really want to chill out we can arrange for a massage at home.
Numerous local attractions and activities will keep you busy (if you want to be busy, that is!). Wine tasting, horseback riding, tennis, ceramic painting, golf, swimming, fishing, and world-class cuisine all await you.
